I would definitely recommend staying at a Disney resort. Bus lines to all properties (except Disney springs) and you can plan your fast passes 60 days in advance with reservation in compared to 30 days without one

smells like the zoo.. if that bothers you go to another hotel.. id recommend port orleans.. you can take a boat straight to the magic kingdom or take the bus
