Dressing Better Vol 2.0

what's up guys. anyone here take the GRE? is this something that needs studying? how difficult was it?
Not sure if serious but this is kind of a dumb question.

Unless you're a certified genius, It's safe to assume you're going to have to crack a few books open.

That is, unless the outcome you wish for isn't a high score.

As for how difficult the GRE is, it's the basic entrance exam for most graduate programs. Given that, it certainly isn't easy.

thanks guys. i was looking at reviews and some were saying no studying is needed.

Extra 30% off sale items at Club Monaco. $12 - $20 for some nice spring/summer colour Connor chinos, which are a perfect slim fit for me.

Yep. I took both the GMAT and GRE. Each for one of my master's programs.

They ask basic questions, but time is a factor. You need to recondition the way you think. Especially true for math since you can't use a calculator.

I spent the whole summer studying for each of those exams. Did Monday to Friday all day at Starbucks.

No studying at all is just outright foolish and a waste of admission fee. At the very least get study guides from Kaplan and the like.

Meh...he apologized for it. However, I will say if I'm paying $450-600 for a suit I'd want to know ahead of time I'm getting good to great quality especially when something else is out there of quality.

This.. Just said this in the Grad School thread but the exam is definitely not hard. But I strongly recommend getting a book and conditioning for a few months to get the time constraints down and how to solve problems quickly.

So this is what that raffle /bot madness is like?
Tombout on the phone and pc trying to cop.

2 for $250 got the lines down for the past hour haha. Is there only the 7158 number to place orders?

I just called. Phone rang once and lady answered. 2 pairs ordered.

you can call any AE outlet store to order, just look at locations on their website.

Wis, what pairs you ordered???!?!!!??

:hat

I still don't believe in wearing a suit to my workplace since my dress code doesn't call for it. And I get real casual on Fridays. Don't wanna come off as a try hard. Just gotta work hard.
I would say it is a combination of working hard and working smarter. I've seen plenty of hard working folks get cut off due to restructuring. If they climbed their way to the top and have no degrees, I feel bad for them. Hard to get a 6 figure job without one nowadays.

"Dressing better" is an acquired taste, just like owning a high performance vehicle.

Dressing well doesn't mean wearing a suit but it also doesn't mean you go to work in your Nike bball shorts and a hoody with sandals and socks on.

This is also the stupidest thing I've read today:

While people on the street thought that the well-dressed individuals were more likely to buy something, shop assistants had the opposite view: If people had the gall to wear gym clothes into the store, they must feel pretty confident—and probably have a lot of money.

If I go full bum to almost any store, I get ignored like I'm a homeless man. I can barely get my damn parking ticket validated. :lol I go to the store in a leather jacket and jeans or a full on suit and the sales people are drooling over selling something to me and kissing my a** giving me free drinks and sh*t.

You only really get away with looking like a slob in these stores if you are older and still wearing some gold Rolex on your wrist with your sweats, other than that you will get treated like crap. No hellos or "how may i help you". I am sure plenty of us (if not all) here have experienced this.

QFT . . .I usually only shop in sweats (easy to take on and off when you're trying things on), but if I happen to go shopping after work, sales people won't leave me alone. Suggesting clothes for me, telling me about special events, giving me their business cards. Ish is mad annoying.

lol

also that article is BS if youre a minority

off topic kinda but made me think earlier today i was in greenwich CT

the women walk around like they are about to go to a yoga class

If I was a sales associate I would help all those yoga pants wearing women first. Would be awkward if I was wearing pants that easily show pitched tents.

I took the day off to chill today. I went to the outlets to get new Nike workout gear. I was rocking a tank top, sweat shorts and sneakers. Walked into Brooks Bros store, and I was a ghost :lol

I still recall the time that my wife and I went with the intention to buy a car at Prestige Lexus in Ramsey, NJ; this was before my DB days so I probably wore a t-shirt and jeans and sneakers but we were shown a list of the cars and not the cars.

Best believe I took my car to the same jack hole for service after I bought it at Lexus of Manhattan :{

Happens to quite a few of my friends who are car heads that are affluent, but dress like 'crap'...ie beat up sneakers, jeans so long, the hem is tearing up from being stepped on a lot :lol

One of them owns a home restoration companies, but he does the dirty work too. He went to the showroom to checkout the new (at the time) CLS55 in paint splattered clothes. Obviously he got no attention, and got attitude from one of the salesmen. Dude went to another dealership, copped the car, requested it to be delivered from that dealership by the salesman who gave him attitude :lol

When it comes to buying cars, I always talk to the Internet manager prior. When I go in, I just sign and leave (even then it's like a 60-90 min process). If they try to act funny, I walk away.
