My meermin double monks came in this afternoon. The entire ordering process took about a week.I ordered them last Wednesday and received them today. Overall I am satisfied with the quality. I had to pay $26.00 custom fee though :x

Wow that was quick! Those look good man.

I'm gonna join with the suit tomorrow for no reason too :lol :hat

Advice: request for postal service if possible with overseas buys. I've never got hit with cust fees. With DHL and ups, I'm at about 50/50 with getting hit on custom fees.

I don't mind the $15.15 hit considering I got them 2 days after they were shipped. USPS takes forever...

And I may just join in this tomorrow or Wednesday.

^^If they dont have your size they have to make them from scratch. Luckily they had 1 pair left in my size.

Pretty much. I put in an order for the suede double monks and these black captoes with medallion and since they aren't in stock I still haven't received a confirmation regarding them.

Yeah,I also wanted to get a pair of the suede ones, but same situation and I'm a bit impatient. :lol

Eh, I'm more than willing to wait lol. Actually I meant to ask this to you guys and get your opinions, especially since the black ones I ordered aren't ready. I want a black captoe so which one would you guys go with...I keep going back and forth.

Simple Black Captoe:

or

Black Captoe with Medallion:
1000

i do like the style but not necessarily sure if they are 1st or 2nd quality and they did run pretty narrow. is nordstrom rack notorious for getting 2nd's?

im looking for a black plain or cap toe oxford. you think AE shoe bank you guys have posted might carry something in similar styles?

I never shopped at the rack, so I was just saying be careful about that. The shoe bank has pretty much any style you could want.

Suit looks awesome Adrian!

Personally, I like the simple captoe more

...I like the perforated cap haha
I feel like it is more useful for casual fits. I see the merit in getting a plain toe though. :\

They're both really nice, and honestly there's a fairly small margin between which one I prefer. Serg's style considered, I think the perforated would be better. :)

depends on what you want them for. like A said, the medallion toes can be considered more casual while the plain cap toes are much more formal

Im headed to Minneapolis on Wednesday any spots I should hit while I'm out there. I have access to a car so going out to St. Paul isn't an issue

Thanks in advance

just a word of advice...
when you guys consider a budget for your suits, please factor in that you will need to spend $100+ on tailoring to get them to fit properly

I just purchased an Alfani Red slim Navy 3 piece suit from Macy's for 205 shipped. 60% off promotion ends on 5/14th, use code TXTCLB for extra 15% off and use ebates for another possible 14% cash back.
