leather MA-1 looks good on most people IMO. especially good for those who think a DR can be too busy.

IMO, the best litmus test to see if something is trendy (even if it is a classic style) see if fast fashion brands (H&M, Zara, F21, etc) are currently stocking them. Shearling jackets have been around forever, higher end designers (like the Louis Vuitton pic) have carried them for a long time, but now there is a rising popularity of them because of the increase of availability of them. It's more likely for a large amount of people to purchase a <$500 shearling from Zara than a $4k shearling from Louis Vuitton.
