I'm sure you can find at least 5 good tailor spots within a 5 mile radius. Almost any dry cleaner offer tailoring services.
Are you looking for a tailor that will custom make suits for you?Originally Posted by awon23

Why respond if you don't have an answer. I'm sure he's aware that it's a very big area and that there are tons of tailors atdrycleaners...he's asking for a GOOD tailor. As in, if you've used one of those thousands of reputable tailors, please refer him to one because hedoesn't want to take his chances with any old drycleaner tailor, most of which I wouldn't trust to do a quality job.Originally Posted by wj4

OK. Arax in Burbank, and Tailor Town in Glendale and Pasadena, this is where Nordstrom goes to when they are stomped with work. Both are locatedin the upper part of the L.A. county which is about an hour drive with no traffic (in L.A. right?) from the O.C.Originally Posted by ddot7

There's a reason why people ask for references rather than just pick a name out of a phonebook.
awon23- If nobody on NT can help you, ask someone in the area whose style you respect, whether it's a friend, acquaintance, co-worker, whatever. Someone who looks like they get their clothes tailored to fit well, how you want yours to. Ask a few people, get some names and if you've got the time and enough pieces you need altered, bring a simple one to each and see what kind of job they do, how it suits your needs and what you asked for. If you've got a bunch of pieces that are valuable to you, it'll be worthwhile, especially if you have something important/expensive that you need extensively altered.

Is that a racist remark? I mean I might be reachign but the first thing I thought of is that episode of King of the Hill when they called Khan a banana, yellow on the outside but white on the inside. Again, I am not trying to start anything but if the remarks mean anythign else, could someone explain it?

I didn't think anything of that nature. When I saw the banana..I thought of it as the slang term for cool. You know "Yooo son, that was bananas!"
Haha I also thought the same RFX so it wasn't just you.Originally Posted by RFX45

My fault, I guess I read too much into it.
I honestly didn't think anyone used that term anymore so it didn't even come to mind.

If you're near the 626 area (Rowland Heights/City of Industry), I would highly recommend Lam's Tailoring. I've had everything fromjeans, coats, shirts, suits altered by him and everything has come out great. Off the top of my head, here are the approximate prices for various alterationsI've had done:Originally Posted by awon23
