Not pushing it at all, I'm sure there are comfortable dress shoe brands, but Cole haan hit
It on the money with their Nike collabo....even my wife agreed when she bought a pair Cole haan wedges.

It isn't a collabo, Nike owns Cole Haan.

I need some suggestions on some boots that can be worn with jeans or slacks. I saw some nice ones at Allen Edmonds on Madison Ave but haven't been back to get them. I was unable to find anything similar in Jersey... Looking for something lace up brown or black. Thanks!!!

It will be mainly used traveling to and from work in NYC, carrying laptop, book/magazine and maybe lunch. My office is currently business casual (people use backpacks etc) but I would not want to feel worried about bringing it to a business meeting (finance). I've looked at waxwear a lot as I think it would hold up best to a little beating which I would expect with me, is that correct? Its a gift but would like to keep it under about $400, I also didn't like any of the ones on J Crews website or other Filsons (too rugged looking). Here are some I've looked at, which would you pick? or any other suggestions?

1. Ernest Alexander - Voldis (gray waxweare) $365   http://www.ernestalexande...Grey-Wax-Twill-Messenger

if you're gonna use it often and for years to come look into a saddle back bag...they cost more than what you're looking at but worth it if you'll use it a lot

or, get one made like i'm doing...i'll post pics of it later
here's my bag i'm getting...

cole haan shoes aren't popular around here.  i knew the moment you posted about them you would get disagreements.

i'm on the lookout for some simple black, rubber-soled shoes.  i'll probably take a look at cole haan.  i need a comfortable shoe i can drive in and wear when i have to do presentations for class.

Messengers couldn't afford those messenger bags.

And my dude did you really try to link an attachment from your email?

Does that Richmond Quilted Jacket fit tts? Been looking for a nice quilted jacket to layer with and that might be the one.

can anyone recommend a moc toe boot with a heel, like these (feits are too pricy and sold out anyway. don't like the strap on the rangers). seen a couple with boat shoe styling, not interested in that

Brooks Brothers Outlet has 40% off just about the entire store, plus your outlet's website usually has an additional 10% off coupon.
I just picked up a pinstripe suit for $194
