If you're talking about the G sedan, then there is no "downscale" equivalent in Nissans lineup
Looks are one (subjective) thing, but if you're referring to technical specs or performance (you might not), then yourre not very well versed in auto knowledge. The G has much to offer over Nissan sedans and offers a very different drive experience (especially the rwd sport trims)
You own either a Nissan or Infiniti, right?
Obviously you can say the All Wheel Drive or the RWD G sedan, but why would they make a Nissan like that? Oh they do...it is called a G37/Q50
Like I said, yes the All Wheel Drive or the RWD G sedan are 2 platforms that they have over Nissan sedans, but if you want them, you have to go up. I don't see a Camry/Avalon or Accord with All Wheel Drive or RWD...you have to go up to either the TL (Acura) or IS-series (Lexus)...which are the higher end brands of the companies. Might as well bash VWs and buy an Audi then, right?
I have a 2011 Maxima SV Premium and my wife has a 2013 Altima 3.5 SL loaded. I have friends with G35s and G37s and I even considered an M35/45 when looking at cars. If you take out the RWD option, that they have....please show me what the G, of all Infinitis to list, has over the Maxima?
We have the rear power shade, backup camera, navigation, BT phone, BT audio streaming, Panoramic Roof, heated/cooled seats, woodgrain (if you want that), Rear climate control, and many other features.
Hell my wife's new loaded Altima has lane departure sensors/alarms, backup sensors, Google Points of Interest, SMS messages read aloud to you and can view them on the screen, illuminated kick plates, & puddle lights under the car.
There are very few reasons for the AVERAGE consumer to buy one over a Maxima if you are going for luxury and a great price for what you are getting. That is unless you want to say you have an Infiniti, which I know a lot of people out there like to do.
Obviously if you are a gear head and want to mod the car, then you might opt for something in RWD or 6MT flavors.
Yea that's all nice but I personally would prefer rwd over "sms messages being read to me" and "puddle lights" and "google points of interest"
