entry level luxury cars.... EDIT: I DO NOT want one. just want people's opinion.

except da fact that i drive more then 99% of ya since i do it for a living, and i go to school for automotive so im sound with da books with it

facts baby, that's all we're about over here.

back to da topic at hand, like MANY said before..a simple comparison shows that buying an entry level luxury car over a fully loaded non luxury counterpart

in this day and age when technology parts and bits flow open.

take a 2013 BMW 528i...and BARE BONES 4 cylinder 2.0 turbo is almost 49k...WHAT ON EARTH can you get on that car that doesn't come STANDARD

in a FULLY loaded 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 that cost UNDER 46K?

But some people dont want a beastly car like that? They rather have a little luxury?

Its not that hard to comprehend. Just cause you see things differently doesnt mean anything. Theres opinions for a reason.

Some people work hard to eventually afford a W. Nothing wrong with that. Its not really an argument.

These threads get HEATED! :lol

People trying to defend their purchases and others trying to reassure themselves due to their lack of. :lol

Reread the first sentence of the massive bold
¿Comprende?
still doesn't answer da question, what LUXURY feature does a BASE MODEL 528i (WHICH COST MORE) have that a FULLY loaded SRT8

charger DOES NOT HAVE.

last time i checked, people don't give back things they get for a bonus, which in this case is a super powered engine, on top of all da world class

luxury features you can find.

im waiting for da answer. you dont even get LEATHER in da base model 528i.

Youre really something else. Its like you choose to be completely ignorant.

Youre obviously not stupid fam, stop acting like it.
Maybe he's never sat in one. But from experience of sitting in both, theres a clear difference.

im still waiting.

Son, you're dying of thirst right now.

Outside of the fact that the baseline model comes with that leatherette ****, the whole interior trim of the car is just nicer.

The fact that you're sitting here trying to justify why a domestically built car is cheaper than an imported branded "luxury" car for what you get, even if its a base model is laughable.

There is no bad reason why a person would prefer the BMW over the Charger. The BMW DOES have more of a luxury feel, ride, and presence to it. The whole ******g design is more elegant than the Charger fam. The charger is aggressive and boxy, while the BMW is more sleek and reserved.

I can't define luxury to you bruh. I'm sorry if you can't identify it.

Lets not forget how the Corvette Stingray is 70,000 euro's...

...For the base model....

While in the US its $51,000....

I can count a lot of euro cars for that price that come with more than the stingray...

this is BLATANTLY WRONG... da SRT8 comes STANDARD with electronically controlled dampers so you

can ride as buttoned down or as luxury plush as you want you gotta go ALLL da way up trim to get that

from a 5 series....that 528i doesn't have

have real leather as a standard feature.

I think Ninjahood is just taking this thread way too personally, as if we're making fun of him choosing an SRT8 charger over a BMW or something. When the reality is the guy just takes pride in knocking others purchases just because they don't follow his personal tastes and thought-process. The fact that this guy is 30 or whatever and so concerned about labeling what others are driving and going as far as judging them for it only shows that the poor guy just wants to be behind the wheel of a nice car in his name for a change. What can you do though

I have never been a BMW fan, but there is no denying the quality of the BMW 3-series over time.  Car and Driver has had the 3-series sedan in the top 10 cars each year for 22 years in a row:

http://www.caranddriver.com/features/2013-10best-cars-feature-2013-bmw-3-series-sedan-page-3

Are we actually comparing a Dodge Charger to a 5 series BMW?
car mags do it all da time.

*AHEM*
All of the hoonage you desire from a modern muscle car is available if your intentions and driver inputs are deliberate. Otherwise, the Charger is as composed as the BMW 5-series,
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2011-dodge-charger-r-t-test-review

so like i was saying, what luxury features does a base model 528i have over a SRT8 dodge charger?

:lol Do you know that cause you've driven/been a passenger in both?

Or cause you read that **** online? I've been in both while they were moving fam. Yeah, the Charger ain't no slouch, and I would take that **** over the 528i too, but still. Ride in both, then get back to me. Even if the BMW isn't the MOST luxurious **** you've been in, it has a different feel than that Charger. No matter how top of the line the Charger is.

You're like, the most defensive person in the world bruh.

ALSO I already stated that the 328i has that leatherette AKA fake leather substitution.

Just agree to disagree fam. I don't even have a problem with your taste in cars. In all actuality, we have a very similar taste. But you OD on the juice when you're trying to prove a point..

I can name like 100 features a fully loaded Camry has that the R/T Charger doesn't...

Your argument is pretty useless..

A.
yes i have been in both WHILE they're moving, im in da heightz, i got alot on enterprising friends who own both.

B. da camry is FWD, it doesn't compare to a dodge charger.

car and driver themselves SAYS da charger rides JUST like a 5 series, so imma gonna keep asking till someone gives me da answer,

what luxury features does a base model 528i which cost more have that a fully loaded SRT8 dodge charger which cost less doesn't have?

That's usually what happens when you don't have much going for you. Rarely will you see a doctor/lawyer/etc caring so much about what another man spends his money on. Like they say, you'll never see someone more successful than you hating on you.. it always comes from beneath you.

it really doesn't matter, because at the end of the day the srt is still a dodge, & the 528i is still a beamer, the consumers for those cars would generally be VASTLY different...i don't own (or lease) a car, but i know buying a car (like most things) isn't a strictly by the numbers decision, it is the reason there are so many tiers of brands & pricepoints...people have been quick to dismiss the status of the entry level luxury cars as "stunting" but we are social animals; that is sort of the point. buying a bmw is qualitatively better than buying a dodge as far as status goes (and dodge knows this, because when they try to sell you a 'luxury' vehicle it is a Chrysler, not a dodge) and that counts for something, as meek mill would say : "there's levels to this"

ahhh...finally someone with some honesty...which brings us back to da point of da thread topic, badge flossing for da sake of rocking a brand

instead of getting da best value for your money. im sure when your HONEST for yourself you know you're getting that bare bones 5 series

JUST to say "hey im in a BMW" in leatherette seats
