Don’t know where this guy went but I was there over the weekend and got a $20 steak sandwich from Novecento and it was delicious. With a $10 Heineken, the total for lunch was $30. Not cheap by any means, but pretty standard for a sporting event here in Miami.

I think it's basically a bar/lounge with a bunch of high-end, F1-endorced sim rigs. Fancy video arcade. Worth checking out, I suppose, if you live in the area.

Even if the track was 'race ready', there was no way going ahead with the race was gonna be the correct thing to do.
You can't be taking away resources to run the race, when they could be used to help the people living there.
And from a PR view, that's just bad optics.
This was the only way to go.
