That '07-'09 stretch for Royal and Eggplant was a bit wild trying to figure it out between the various small releases and/or restocks.

Werd I realize I got the date wrong in my OG post. I thought eggplants dropped 08 and 09 but it was 09 and 10. Drops and restocks were so much different back then.

What year did they make the change

2010 I believe. If I remember correctly the first Eggplants were the last of the Taiwan run and that came out in 2009.

There is a comparison between the OGs, 2007 (Taiwan), 2011 (China)



However, the first couple of releases from China were not that bad. The first Coppers, Stealth's, and Galaxies were made in China.

But they seemed to get worse a couple of years later. More banana-shaped.

I confused when the blow-up was. It was in 2010 when they released and were made in China, the 2009 pair was Taiwan.

People were pissed about how shallow the grooves were, the finish on the shoe, and the Foam was creasing in areas.

2009s...



Nike was flagrant Released a lower quality version a year later just to capitalize on the building hype.

But that sentiment was drowned out because Foam hype really kicked off soon afterward

I hope they release the original pearls, like they did in the pack they released a few years ago. Also, no more metallic colorways. Just release them the way they were in the late 90’s, east 2000’s.

Also those all stars are okay. I want to cop but its not necessary. Plus they put a damn white sock liner in there.. This whole time I thought it was black.

I’m not sure if it’s white, it might be that glow color.

Here's the thing. The all black and green glow soles , Nike has tried countless of times on countless shoes.

They look great in pics and photos- where you just snap shots of the shoe.....And nearly always fall flat in person and or on feet.

The woodgrain graphic is all the shoe has got saving it.

(just a word of caution/experience.... there's not much that goes with Black and Green unless you gonna go all in on blk/green, or try to grey tone or go neutral colors. Where as had they been black/clear soles - they'd pretty much match with anything or any look. - and that's 15 years of salt talking on why a clear sole / black one was never released by NIKE. Don't say stealth, they aren't the type of clear soles I'm talking about. Just teasing me NIKE... lol)

I see these are on FTL for reservations for kids sizes but not for the men's. Any idea why that is?
