FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Top 3 Soups:
1. French Onion
2. New England Clam Chowder
3. Broccoli Cheddar
.

I’ll co-sign this list and give honorable mention shout outs to Lobster Bisque, Mexican Tortilla Soup and Split Pea from a place called Andersen’s here in CA.

Also, I like my Clam Chowder in a bowl made I’d sourdough bread...:nthat:

"I find something I like, I stick with it. From 1973 to 1982 I ate the exact same lunch every day: turkey chili in a bowl made out of bread. Bread bowl, George. You'd eat the chili, then you'd eat the bowl. Nothing more satisfying than looking down after lunch and just seeing a table."

Is if we talking stews & soups gotta include chili too. Gumbo is life!

I haven’t had good Sancocho in a looooooong time.

Never had French onion soup. She-crab, chili, clam chowda and homemade chicken noodle soup. Thai restaurant near me used to do a spicy chicken noodle soup, then they started having college night events didn’t trust eating there anymore. Vibe changed drastically

Man yall can't blend all of these subGenres of liquefied foods into the same category.

Soups

Regular Stews

Creamy stews

Noodle/Pasta based Soups

All very different.

Can't pic between Ramen and Gumbo. The hell kind of comparison is that

If its boiled
I’ll allow it

So as we all suspected, you don't even bother eating real food?

Huh?! You make no sense.
That would mean I'm now eating nothing if I stopped sugary junk and ate no real food.
i eat healthy, always have, just had a phase where i was getting into sweets after dinner every day and sometimes after lunch as well for a while, but like i said im NOT eating sugary junk now.
Not NOT eating at all

Once a junkie always a junkie.

You'll be back.

Meal-prepping for the next few days at work. Roast chicken with an herb compound butter underneath and on top of the skin with roasted onion, carrots, and tri-color potatoes:

Gonna serve with gravy and a lemon herb quinoa.

Why the butter underneath vs. on top?
Genuine question, I don't know **** about cooking.

Thanks for breaking the stereotype

White meat on chicken and turkey is notoriously dry and bland. Putting it under the skin before cooking gives the ability for the butter and the herbs to add moisture and flavor to the actual meat. Also less moisture on top of the skin will create a crispier exterior. If you were to put that only on top of the skin you'd have a barrier between the meat and the compound butter. Skin is a culinary condom.
