Rarely, only at casinos where the buffet is top quality. My family is a bunch of degenerate gamblers so two or three times a month casino trips = buffet every time.
Asian buffet with the Mongolian grill and crab legs or lobster >>> hometown buffet, Golden corral, etc

Been to Brasilian bbq spot, I guess it’s considered a buffet too since they have trays of hot and cold food set up on the side.

I don't eat at buffets like that. They would have to be top notch and constantly changing the trays with fresh food for me. Most food isn't meant to be served how it is. Just sitting under a heat lamp.

I used to always go to Golden Corral every time I crossed the border. The nearest ones to me closed down though so I haven’t had it in awhile.

I cant do buffets or hot/cold bars at grocery stores like whole foods/wegmans/etc. anymore, too many dirty mother****ers out there with their dirty *** paws all over the tongs and what not. Add to that peoples mouths and god knows what comes out of them just too damn close to the food.
As i get older i get more and more picky about these things, i have gotten much more picky with hotels/house rentals as well.

My whole extended fam are buffet folks too, but the nicer ones around here (SoCal) are all Asian/Chinese buffets. There’s one or two expensive Brazilian bbq buffets that are bomb, and the aforementioned casino buffets, but all the others are American chains.
A Mexican buffet intrigues me surprised I’ve never seen one around here

Thisis how I feel.
This goes back to potluck logic, I don't trust other people enough.
I have eaten at a few Vegas buffets but many of those places keep food behind the glass and have workers serving you, so I can tolerate those a little more.
But a random, "Sakura Buffet" for $13 gets the side eye from me.

The Mexican chain El Torito does buffet on Sundays (or at least the one by me (Santa Monica) does. It’s not bad.
Fresh tortillas to order, taco bar with various protein options, including seafood, Enchilladas, beans, rice, couple kinds of soup, salad and my son’s favorite - corn pudding. Plus desserts like Flan and Churros.

I just looked up the El Torito in Torrance they got the brunch buffet going too. One of these days I’ll check it out. There used to be an Acapulco restaurant that had a weekend lunch buffet next to Del Amo mall, but ironically it closed up and became a hometown buffet
It’s bomb. Its worth the 3000 pesos/60 usd price. It’s huge, crazy selection and everything is delicious no filler or letdowns.

Had a lunch date with this chick from Tinder at PF Changs.... hadn't been there in like 3 years but the last time I went (in Grand Rapids MI) it was fire. This time... complete trash. Egg rolls were so bad my date even said something and had them take them off the check. I got some kinda spicy chicken but I think I should have went with the pepper steak, though that probably woulda been trash too.
