FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

As someone that refuses to eat food that has no nutritional value (cakes, desserts, cookies, pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc), I'm not about to sit here and be the dietary police for everyone else.

What you choose to eat is between you, god, your doctor, and the nursing staff that you will ultimately torment with your ******** requests and noncompliance.

DCAllAfrican DCAllAfrican difference between a doughnut and pastry is what exactly?

Also, there are folks who enjoy a plain cake doughnut with a cup of coffee...can be seen/considered as a TRADITIONAL breakfast combo.

I'm not getting the argument. I'm pretty sure a donut being considered a breakfast food has more to do with it being a quick food to eat or while on the go.

I would consider a doughnut a pastry-adjace. . The umbrellas to sweet/semi-sweet baked, layers, buttery, crossaint type items we typically eat in the AM.

I never said people didn't do it, so it can be traditional.

It is just one of the weird things we do as humans. That is all I am saying.

Find me a food I've posted that has no protein content or any sort of greenery to it.

I said "no nutritional value" and I was careful to phrase it that way.
I mean none of us post everything we eat in here, so I have no way of knowing what you eat. We probably speak of fewer than 20% of what we actually eat.

I said exactly what the "argument" (which it wasn't even that in the first place) was.

Also, what I said was about what happens in the workplace, so it wasn't even about what people grab on the go or what people traditionally do.

The least healthy stuff I'm eating is the stuff I'm posting.

Regardless...I indulge, you indulge, we all indulge. Not about to sit here and pretend to be the food police over something so trivial as eating doughnuts in the morning.

Not sure why or how you thought that was the move to make.

All of those are desserts.

We had this convo in here before.

I would say those are breakfast items folks should indulge in every once in a while, but those things are all junk foods as well

So I am assuming sugary cereals (Lucky Charms, Cap’n Crunch, Trix, etc.) also are desert?

Wasn't policing by any stretch. I simply said employers that feed their workers dougnuts in the AM don't love productivity.

So the shot was at the jobs feeding it to the workers.

Not the workers eating it.

Junk food disguised as everything but, so yea, those would fall into the same boat.

Throw Fruit Snacks in there as well, one of the biggest trick bags in the grocery store.

I legit had to have a conversation with a grown woman about how fruit snacks are candy, she swore they weren't. She eventually caved in though

^^^ Fear of clowns is not trivial...have you seen IT? Heard of John Wayne Gacy? ... They’re bad. Fictional or Non-Fictional.
