FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I made the classic mistake of convincing myself that I'm not a huge salmon fan after only having other people cook it for me. Decided to revisit it tonight by doing a no-flip version in the cast iron with a miso/hot honey glaze.

This is fire. Just reminds me of a more moist/tender/flavorful version of chicken breast. Definitely gonna be doing more fish recipes moving forward.
Salmon is usually my go-to fish at home, followed by snapper. Always good.

Got there she said someone paid double for the other 2 smh

I've had "kombucha" once and I wasn't a fan.
Maybe I got the wrong type.

It tasted like carbonated water with grass clippings in it.

- lobster tail (grilled)
- creamed spinach
- elotes
- roasted red potatoes
- Cesar salad
- Trash La Croix

This a special occasion? Or that’s just how you get down on an average Monday? That’s a quality Champagne you have there too...

Somewhat related but I ate dinner at a friends house once and he made spaghetti but instead of ground beef he used ground turkey with the sauce. It wasnt terrible but my taste buds were so let down

It's extremely lackluster, IMO. Almost would rather just not eat anything at all.
Ground turkey > ground beef for pasta IMO. Your friend didn’t season it right. Gotta over compensate for not having the flavor of the beef fat, if that makes sense. But growing up we didn’t eat pork or a lot of red meat so I might be used to the turkey.

When I make my lasagna or pasta with meat
I always do 2/3 ground beef
1/3 ground pork
