I’ve done my family’s turkey for the last 4 years now. My mom used to buy some prepared breast square thing and served it cold - which was terrible.
It’s all about time and temperature - you have to know the temp of your oven and the temp of the meat - and then remove it at the correct time so it retains its juices. I don’t understand cooking without a thermometer - people generally overdo it to make sure it’s fully cooked and then it ends up dry.
A turkey is such a large lump of meat too that it won’t cool quickly - so you can have it ready a couple of hours early and keep it hot with no hassle.

I've come around bc it's a good way to remember certain places/trips. Has to be subtle though

My son takes pics of his food at restaurants sometimes for purposes of posting Yelp reviews, but doesn’t like when I do it because he knows it’s for NT and considers it weird that I’m on here

For me it usually depends on who im out with. I know who doesn't mind and who's taking pics too. But if I'm with ppl I don't know too well it's either no pics or a quick one. No paparazzi lol. Always ask in any case tho.
Funny that convo currently taking place first thing i noticed at all the high end fashion expensive places this weekend in miami.. everyone was taking a pic
although i didnt grab the 55oz steak from papi steak with the suitcase, i am glad to have witnessed it in person as the table next to me grabbed it
about 10 workers come out and the lights go out, music cuts off and a certain song comes on it starts low but as they are taking it out the music gets intense and workers have a blast and celebrate around it before they stamp it
its a awesome experience
