FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

If you’re hung up on the idea of eating Spam but have no issues eating sausage, hot dogs, or other cured meats in tube form you’re just willfully ignorant.

Top ramen. Chicken or beef, doesn’t matter. Crack an egg, beat it and pour it in. Add a teaspoon of butter, some minced garlic, and chopped green onions. All of a sudden what seemed like struggle doesn’t seem it like as much.
All of this, except sometimes I like to drop the egg directly into the pot and let the egg white cook a little and then stir the yolk. Also some chilli powder or sriracha helps.

My mom used to fry spam with brown sugar and I'd eat it with white rice.

Vienna sausage are cat treats
I have to try this

If I’m keeping it :emoji_100: I legitimately like the Stroganoff Hamburger Helper and have used it from time to time after college. But I substitute red wine for water to bring out a little more flavor.
See I like stroganoff so I would def try that one.

kraft mac and cheese in the blue box is my go to struggle meal. probably do it twice a year or so when work is insanely busy and i dont have time to cook/get ingredients. always got a box or two on deck in the cabinet for a pinch
I do too for the kids 😂 nice quick meal for them. Even tho my kids are spoiled and will ask for homemade baked Mac

Creative and clearly very well crafted, but a couple of those plates do not look appetizing at all to me. I have to expland my mind, I guess.

I had to edit the post a little bit, because like you said the dishes are going to be different from what people are used to. I was surprised how quickly decolonized food caught on and how much flavor each dish has when the elements are combined. My wife did say some of the dishes were dry, but some of that comes with the preparation. Thanks for taking a look,, you can find some more Twin Cities' food is over on my Insta @Steamin.Beamin

Wish I had some Haitian food near me.
Used to go to this spot in historical Filipino town but it closed a couple years back. I just did a quick Google search and stumbled across this.

Have to check it out next time I’m in the valley
