woke up to brisket slander

i’ve been to austin 1000 times and never waited in line at franklins but i’ve had the brisket and it’s amazing.
if i was from out of town, i’d probably wait for the experience. i would party all night wake up and go line up at franklins with a beer and herbs to nurse the hangover

Terry Black's Barbecue. It was good, but definitely not as good as Franklin Barbecue. The wait wasn't bad. About 10min. There were more ppl in there than Franklin but the line moves a lot quicker since they have more registers and 4 or more butchers serving the meat as a opposed to 1. The big downside is no AC inside. Place was crazy hot.

A proper brisket is the GOAT bbq meat, IMO.

Only problem is that there's a LOT of bad brisket out there.

Yea if the brisket at a BBQ place is bad it ruins the rest of the experience for me personally. A good brisket will keep me coming back.

Food looks good. Do you eat the mint and cucumber? I always thought it was garnish so I toss them.

The mint no but the cucumber yes. I always throw away those red peppers they be putting in Gen. Tsao chicken too, I've seen some people eat them.

Got extremely lucky. We literally got the last piece beef rib. Kinna felt bad for the ppl behind us. They were promised the last piece but I guess some group ahead of us took 2. The beef rib was phenomenal, but the brisket was the star of the show.

The vibes out in the line are chill. Ppl drinking and talking about where they're from. It's a whole experience that EYE enjoyed. Will I do it again, probably not considering I'd like to try new spots every visit.

Aaron popped out for a few seconds but headed back into the pits.
