FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I’d like to request a civil discussion on this topic.

Which chip is the best chip for dipping in salsa?

3 if you want actual salsa..

Im a one chip one bite guy.
With that in mind i choose chip 1.

2 gets hardly any salsa on the chip and depending on the density of the salsa youre going to have spillage because of the shape of the chip.

When you dip the corner of chip 3 and take a bite youre left with chip 4A.

Because of the curve caused by the bite, 4A is not as structuraly sound as chip 1.
If you grab it by point X and dip Y, theres a chance for breakage and vice versa.

With chip 1 you can grab it at point Z and have plenty of surface area for salsa as well as a 1 dip 1 bite experience.

Well hell, I'll take #1.
Unrelated: I have to give a presentation at our next staff meeting on August 15th. Can I hit you up? 👀

small pork butt took about 7.5 hours. i was rushed a bit so had to run the smoker hotter than i’d like to towards the end. led to some parts finishing faster than others but ended up pulling nicely and made some good sandwiches. fed 7 people easily with lots of leftovers. probably do some nachos tomorrow with the rest of it. can’t beat that for 14$

3rd one, because of that little curl. 🔥

#3 just isn't practical when it comes to comfortable scooping. I never need to see a chip that big again in life.

I am going with #2 The little pocket groove will allow for solid scooping. And most importantly, it will actually FIT in the dip container. (Unlike #3)

French people eating an illegal french delicacy called ortolan bird, the diner places a napkin over their head before eating.

Historically they would put the napkin over their head to protect their sins from god, with the napkin on, they believed god couldn't witness their sin.

Today, eating of Ortolan is outlawed — it was so widely consumed at one point its population dropped by an estimated 40%.

Finally went to Crimson Coward Beruseruku Desu Beruseruku Desu

Got the hot. Definitely hot, but good flavor. Sauce and slaw were good. Sandwich was :pimp:

We ordered their bootleg blooming onion and it was trash. My mom got the Mac n cheese and that didn’t look like anything special either.

Might just be the kinda place to just get a sandwich.

Island pops in BK. Ran out of all the flavors I wanted to try such as nutmeg, soursop, and grapenut. I settled for pistachio. It was ok.

I also drove by Marcy Projects.

For Caribbean ice cream shops, check out Taste the Tropics on Nostrand Avenue. There's also another shop on the same avenue, Mr. P's Ice Cream, which also serves Caribbean-based flavors(beet root, soursop, baileys, charcoal etc) that are all vegan.

I've tried to make pizza a few times and it's hard to get circles. I told myself that I would just make a square pizza moving forward.
