Johnny Cash would make any trailer look good... but I'm hoping this one delivers.

A more understated and introspective movie would be a great sendoff for Jackman, plus it's always good to see Patrick Stewart again.

‘Logan’: James Mangold Reveals Timeline; Teases Film’s Unique Tone and Family Focus

http://collider.com/logan-timeline-explained-james-mangold/

As for when Logan takes place, Mangold confirmed that we are indeed the furthest in the future we’ve ever seen, and that means mutants have a different role to play:

“We are in the future, we have passed the point of the epilogue of Days Of Future Past. We’re finding all these characters in circumstances that are a little more real. The questions of ageing, of loneliness, of where I belong. Am I still useful to the world? I saw it as an opportunity. We’ve seen these characters in action, saving the universe. But what happens when you’re in retirement and that career is over?”

I hope we some other older X-characters in this film to get a greater understanding on the world.

I dunno man something about it being just Logan and Charles old beat down and defeated Tyring to save X-23 is dope to me.

The reavers relentlessly after them man this movie has the pieces just keep it simple forget trying to tie in characters and universe we already seen tons of in 9 films.

My theory is Professor Xavier is physically gone, but he's such a strong mutant he's speaking to Logan mentally and guiding him through the film. It's gonna be revealed that he's not real on some sixth sense type ish. The trailer itself looks good, glad to see wolverine putting the claws to good use. Fox seems to be moving in a good direction with their films since deadpool.

trailer was ok..

there are some directors that would get me hyped with that sort of trailer.. mangold aint one of em (and he already has 1 strike against him in my book for 'the wolverine')

not going write it off.. but i'll wait and see what certain folks  say about it before I go

Yeah Copland, Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma sucked as well
I named 1 of his movies.. I just wouldn't put him on a list with certain other directors, as I said above

walk the line, was ok (i'll put it at 5.5/8.. just didn't think it was as great as it was made out to be and especially to win all the awards it won.. ray was a far better movie)..

I've never seen copland

3:10 to Yuma, was solid and gave me hope for 'the wolverine' but then the actual movie happened.. hell, I don't even think 'knight and day' was that bad, wasn't THAT great either

but again, 'the wolverine' just happened.. and the movie he had before that: 'knight and day'

fincher does that trailer and I'm there on day 1 (who is in that list of directors who would get me hyped with that trailer.. ditto Nolan)

I don't see all the hate on "the Wolverine"

Like ok Silver Samurai was meh, but the rest of the story was good. It felt like the Frank Miller story.

And i like that it made Logan vulnerable. Having his healing factor diminished made it great. And that ninja fight in the town was dope.

The Wolverine was okay, but this looks incredible. That could be said about a million bad movies with strong trailers, but who knows. It seems like they kept everything real close to the chest and only showed those desert scenes which could be a 10 minute opening for the movie and then we go on from there...

Was watching The Wolverine last night.. man that scene of him fighting his boos dad was dope. He was throwing them claws somethin vicious. If you watch it there's some cold stabs in the funeral scene. I love how he shredded the train cart with his claws like it was paper. And bruh, don't care what no one says but him be burnt extra crispy and healing was ****** dope! I even liked just seeing him in the woods with the bear.

There were some good things going in that movie, especially if you watched the extended version. The scene where Wolverine collapses at the hotel in the rain actually has the gang finding them and throwing him off the building and about to kill him. Then bae wakes up and saves him. Then he blacks out and wakes up at the vet.

I typically turn it off after the fight with the dad. Or fast forward to the end where he gets his orange and brown suit and watch the after credits scene. Still dope watching the entire airport freeze and seeing Charles weaving around everyone. Still get a little teary eyed lol

So if this is his last movie as wolverine, we've never seen him rock the mask in a movie. SMH.

These cosplayers with masks look cool. batman's mask / cowl is less extreme but we don't think his mask looks silly in movies.
