She's 100% responsible, because there was likely no way to get her to the airport unless he sped, so it was probably just assumed by both of them that speeding was involved.

She should offer to pay a large portion of it, and if he's a nice guy he might suggest that he'd still pay half. But it is mostly her fault.
she called him, i gotta be there in 20 mins, thats obviously a sense of urgency, because she had to make the flight or else she was gonna miss it.
I guess you guys missed the part where OP said they were already at the airport.  He was driving too fast through the loading zone, not a good move.

Personally, I don't think she owes him anything.  It would have been courteous of her to offer, but c'mon fam let's be real, that's not what the majority of women do.  Keep it pushing, pay the ticket (...or fight it).  Next time she asks you for a favor, just say no.  It's the only card you can play, everything else is petty.  You can't take her to court, you can't force her to pay you.  Bust her window?  Scratch her car?

  What's the point?

There's a reason they say...be a MAN about it.

but she called him, because she was gonna miss his flight, so it was implied that he was gonna have to "rush" or "hurry" cause im sure she didnt wanna take a nice sunday drive.

Speeding on the freeway to get to the airport- Yes
Speeding through a loading zone in the airport - All OP's fault.

I've rushed to the airport tons of times, and getting to LAX is hell.  However, once I'm in, I slow the $!#% down and tell the person to ease the $!#% up: "We're at the airport already, chill the $!#% out!"

.  At the end of the day, the driver is in control of the car, not the passenger *shrugs*

.  You can tell the type of person someone is when things like this happen.  If it were me then I'd offer to pay at least half, or even the whole amount depending on the circumstances of the situation, because the way I look at it is she asked for a ride and should be willing to take some responsibility for certain mishaps.

My friend was using my fast trak to go through a toll booth, but instead of going through slow, like I told him to do, he went through at 30mph and right behind a big rig truck

.  Needless to say, the toll booth didn't sense the fast trak, but I still offered to pay half of the fine because he wouldn't have been in that situation had he not been taking me back to campus.

Don't cause a huge mess for yourself by breaking her windows or popping her tires, post her pics then call it a night...

he doesnt have to hurry up cuz she said so if thats your argument...

If she missed her flight, it was the fault of her prior accommodation. He took the chance of speeding in the name of doing a favor for a "friend". She can at least meet him halfway(figuratively and literally). Your correct on everything you said but sadly you have no empathy for this situation which shows your moral fiber.
So...he suffers for trying to do her a favor. I find it absurd that someone would actually condone her not at least offering to pay.

Homegirl is wrong and you should have your sister call her out on it.

BTW smashin windows and slashin tires...

Man you guys are some GRIMEY people? First off, it's his sister's best friend....not some random person. Is it really that big of a deal to help someone out and take them to the airport (smh at I could of just kept playing video games). I went to pick up my friend from the airport, got a speeding ticket on the way and in no way did I even imagine asking him to pay half. Stupid quote, but with driving comes responsibility. It is up to you to tell people to wear their seatbelts, to speed, to do wtv...you are the driver. You are 100% responsible. Implied speeding, what sort of nonsense is this. Unless you some nervous dude around women you wouldn't let them control your actions like that. So obviously he is someone that speeds normally, so it is not like he was acting out of the norm. Just happened to be bad luck that he got caught up at this particular moment. It happens when you drive. I think it's SUPER petty that you ASKED and equally petty that she refused. If you are this petty you might as well go ahead and just steal stuff from her. Breaking her windows, or doing all that other stuff might just get you in more trouble and paying more fines. I'm sure if she is friends with your sister she'll leave her bag laying around plenty of times. Even if she catches you, you at least have no reason to make excuses for it. You obviously believe she owes you for this.

OP you're a bad driver....that's not her fault.

But a nice friend would help you pay for it since you did her a favor. Obviously she isn't a nice person or she is broke. But no legally she doesn't owe you anything.

Advice: Take the L? talk to your sister get her to ask the friend for money? Try to fight the ticket in court (maybe the cop won't show up maybe you can get the ticket knocked down if your a first time offender or if you plead your case)?

Either way the situation sucks OP

how do you figure I have no empathy and THAT shows my moral fiber? there's always someone that takes stuff like this above and beyond

doesn't even seem like he gave her a chance to offer...i honestly think it was kind of tacky for him to ask for half...but maybe thats just me

ive given rides before and recieved a ticket...i wouldn't have gotten the ticket if i didn't agree to bring a friend down to school but it was my fault for speeding...i was in control it was my fault...my friends offered to pay...is that great? of course but i never expected it from them...
