Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

Yeah, I'm still thoroughly entertained and not bored. Just let down. I was kind of expecting it though. I knew there was no way they could wrap up a epic battle that quickly. Unless Allicent snuck in and killed Rhaenyra.

It's just that when Better Call Saul does this, we're getting the second half in a couple of months, not a couple of years

People mad as if there isn’t 2 seasons left.

Yall acting like this was the series finale

Season should have been 10 episodes, this felt like an episode before the finale, it wasn’t even a cliffhanger, we know what’s about to go down, there simply wasn’t any pay off in the end of the season….just fkin weird

Need those dudes brought up on charges. :smh:

What D&D did to the world building potential of GOTs should def be punishable by law….they ruin what could have possibly been the single greatest piece of cinema…as good as HOTD is, it still feels pointless, being that we know how things eventually end…we see flashes of the NK and Danny with the dragons but we all know what an *** ending those stories have…so why we even bothering watching this? Honestly they should redo the last season of GOTs, they got the money, get the actors back and reshoot that **** lol

All I think of, all I hear now.....

"The Prince that was promised".........Bran
"Winter is coming"........Bran
"Robert's Rebellion or The Mad King".......Bran

The entirety of 8 seasons of elite television ultimately was given to a little boy pushed out of a window in the Pilot, who spent half the series in bed or not even on the show.

All of these incredible storylines and character arcs, Jon Snow, Danerys, Arya, Hound, Jamie, Cersei, Tyrion, Brianne, Theon.............Bran.

:smh:

Every season should have its own contained, satisfying story.

When you write shows leaning on the idea that youre going to have multiple seasons then the story suffers. If they were to cancel HoD right now would you say the show was good? Absolutely not.

The esso’s lady callin the Lannister dude hella different names  then askin him to smash her wives

I really really liked this season. damn near loved it. but i do wish it had some comedic relief like GoT had with Tyrion, Sam or Tormund.

1. Isn’t that what GOT did?

2. Is that not what this show did? Season one establishing the players, dissension, usurping the thrown. Season two the preparation for war, recognition of missteps, and alluding to the chaos now once they storm King’s Landing and Aegon isn’t there in season 3?

Seems pretty self contained while furthering the story. Ppl are just upset they didn’t get the action/deaths they felt should be there.

We got 15 minutes of mud wrestling. Rhaena got like 45 seconds of total screen time all running around this mountain. Finally she finds the dragon then we see it for 2 seconds before they cut it off. Otto held captive somewhere we see for a few seconds. But yeah lets show this mud wrassslin for a decent amount of screen time in the finale. The scenes were fine with Tyland but taking up that time in the finale is not ideal. Episode would've been a good one if it were like episode 6 in an 8 episode season.

My recollection is that with most GOT seasons the second-to-last episode had more of a big climax - e.g. major battle and/or shocking plot twist - with the last episode being slower, with some fallout from what happened and teeing up the next season. Feel like HotD followed that formula.

Of all the ways GOT could've ended them turning Bran into Vince McMahon was certainly a choice

With his crippled ***. :smh:

You are correct GOODT! sir.

They did the same thing with HoTD 1 too, but of course you had Vhagar going nom nom to Arrax and Luke in the finale resulting in everyone having the shocked Pikachu face.

People may have expected a similar "oh ****" moment in the S2 finale. Hell I thought Heleana would've entered Da Shadow Realm last night from Aemond himself or her getting involved in the Dance with Dreamfyre when she is clearly not about that life.

2nd to last episode was the continuation of a build up imo. There's usually a peak and then the calm after the storm in the Finale.

I def didn't feel that way last episode. That was pretty predictable with Hugh and Ulf and everything else was assemble, assess, assemble, assess.

Got no issues with it either way but a tad different than the holy **** moments we normally get

There's something in the books that happens I thought they would go to that definitely fits that GoT formula better but I see why they didn't this season and glad they didn't for my own selfish reasons

He was the MVP of the episode, because he was the only winner.

Get that man some gatorade and viagra

My only complaint about this season was Daemon off the bath salts for like 20 minutes each episode.

Rhaena really spent the entire season looking scared and running around

These were my two biggest complaints

Every time Daemon and sad face girl hit my TV I lost interest until the next scene started.

This was the show running in place

Through 2 seasons of House of the Dragon, I have to say, it doesn't really move the needle for me.
Season 2 was very underwhelming, and that finale was VERY underwhelming.
It definitely feels like if you ordered Game of Thrones from Wish.
👀😬
Sure, there have been some stellar dragon fights and the dragons have burned some people, but that's really the only reason to watch. Everything about Game of Thrones is gone, especially boobs.
No boobs = no like.
😂 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's nice to go back down the line on all these different lineages, though. Targaryen, Lannister, Sloth from The Goonies. Super cool.
