I'm looking to plan a trip to Vegas this summer with 8 of my closest friends. What is some of the best hotels to stay at?
I'm thinking about staying at the Palms and getting a Penthouse suite and we all just split the bill.
Any suggestions?

The only reason why I'm mentioning the Palms is because of MTV's real world and that Pauly D show.
Other then the Palms what else is the best Hotels to stay at in Vegas?

The cosmopolitan seems to be very popular these days but I have not stayed there yet. you also can't go wrong with wynn and encore.

dotn get it confused, I aint trying to party on the cheap or ball on a budget. It'll be my first time in Vegas so i'm trying to live. We staying at the Suites in MGM as well so hopefully that helps. We were loking at those packages where you get walked into the club for $65 apiece but i'm not sure how good that will be on MDW. we're gonna be about 8 dudes deep unless we link up with random females out there. I've done the craziness of Miami MDW one too many times so I know what to expect.
not sure about the whole being walked in thing, but I know at XS its usually a $20 "handshake" per person to skip the line and you still have to pay cover, which is usually around $50 on weekends. with 8 dudes I'd def split up and go in 2 at a time.

Can someone help me decide between hitting up Marquee who will have Avicii as the DJ, and Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia at XS, both on Saturday, May 12. For the house heads, who would you pick to go see? I know who they both are, but do not really listen to much of their stuff.
Also, I have been in touch with promoters, and one promoter told me he would get us in everywhere. So I picked him as the go to guy. I HOPE he sticks to his word. But, I will have back up promoters just in case.

Cosmo is tight and is currently the most poppin hotel. There have been reports of people having bad service there but I stayed there a few times and never had any problems. Actually staying there again Cinco de Mayo weekend.
Wynn and Encore are still my favorite and you definitely cannot go wrong here. One summer we stayed at Encore for 2 nights and never left the Wynn/Encore property. Great casino (much better than Cosmo's IMO), good food in the hotels, and of course XS and Encore Beach Club.
Palazzo is another good one to check out. Largest standard rooms on the Strip (700+ Sq ft), nice restaurants and the 24 hr Grand Lux in Venetian. Tao/Tao Beach right next door at Venetian. Also Lagasse's Stadium is one of the best places to watch sports on the strip

Labor Day cracks..A LOT.
With that said it does get really crowded and all of the clubs and pool parties increase cover and table minimums, sometimes to ridiculous levels. If you have a big budget or no budget at all and can do bottles at all of the places you go to then it's definitely a great weekend to go.
Memorial Day is probably slightly bigger than Labor Day but both 3 day weekends are huge. Almost too huge in my opinion. I like to get the best bang for my buck so I usually avoid those weekends. July 4th usually has standard prices or a slight increase and is still crackin. Been 3 years in a row and it is always f'n ridiculous
