Too far off the Strip. That's my main reason for never wanting to stay there.

Memorial Day is probably slightly bigger than Labor Day but both 3 day weekends are huge. Almost too huge in my opinion. I like to get the best bang for my buck so I usually avoid those weekends. July 4th usually has standard prices or a slight increase and is still crackin. Been 3 years in a row and it is always f'n ridiculous

The cosmopolitan seems to be very popular these days but I have not stayed there yet. you also can't go wrong with wynn and encore.

Cosmo is tight and is currently the most poppin hotel. There have been reports of people having bad service there but I stayed there a few times and never had any problems. Actually staying there again Cinco de Mayo weekend.

Wynn and Encore are still my favorite and you definitely cannot go wrong here. One summer we stayed at Encore for 2 nights and never left the Wynn/Encore property. Great casino (much better than Cosmo's IMO), good food in the hotels, and of course XS and Encore Beach Club.

Palazzo is another good one to check out. Largest standard rooms on the Strip (700+ Sq ft), nice restaurants and the 24 hr Grand Lux in Venetian. Tao/Tao Beach right next door at Venetian. Also Lagasse's Stadium is one of the best places to watch sports on the strip

Yeah, never really understood the fascination with holiday weekends. Even an off night in Vegas is way better than almost any good night anywhere else. Would rather deal with a much more tolerable crowd on an off weekend or industry night than a Friday or Saturday MDW crowd.

More women, that extra day off work and just the overall atmosphere is too enticing.

For anyone going MDW, rehab and wet republic presale tix are available. $65 for rehab and $85 for wet on saturday.

Vegas does have a way of sucking you back in.

The holiday weekend stuff is on another level and but IMO it's only worth it if you have the cash to do tables/cabanas/daybeds. Otherwise the crowds just get overwhelming. Yeah there's more women but there's more dudes too. There are plenty of women on normal weekends.
