GOING TO VEGAS IN A WEEK VOL: Help me with my experience...

Bump, anybody?

I got this off another site

A week before our trip we found a deal on Living Social for the VCard. This card gave you VIP access to 50 different venues in Las Vegas that included some of Las Vegas biggest clubs, ultra lounges, strip clubs, and pool parties. The cool thing about the card was that the passes to the clubs never expire. So you can use them for you next trip also. We all bought the card and had to go pick it up at the Miracle Mile Box Office

THanks my friend, I think we are going to buy it, it's 99 dollars, maybe groupon has deal, I don't know. My only fear is that they won't honor it when we take it to the club

If they have the clubs you planned on going to then maybe go with that but I use wantickets for any event that I know Im going to for sure. It also doesnt hurt to try to get on guestlists, and if you're ever getting a table somewhere talk to the host and they can hook you up with other places too.

^^^this?

looking for prepaid passes/tickets to places aswell..

anyone ever bought prepaid stuff off of Vegas.com

bought some prepaid passes on vegas.com before....theyre legit. there are other places with better deals...sometimes you just gotta look around. and read the fine print....some of these sites add some lame *** fees to your purchases. convenience fees etc....

anybody have any recommendations as far as shoes to wear to the club? I assume the bouncers are pretty strict (rather not risk it)..what can you wear?

we are gonna get a table one of the days we are there, so that shouldn't be too bad as far as dress code.

we need a sticky or something so we don't have to flip through 100+ pages to know the top spots

but vegas is always so routine for me...drive there (from socal), check in, preparty, hit the clubs (XS, Surrender, or Marquee for us), crash, wake up, fat tuesday, gamble a bit and maybe shop, and hit the clubs again. occasionally strip clubs.

Anyone have a website they would recommend in regards to learning craps?
Going to head out to Vegas mid month. :nthat:

Check wizardsofodds.com. There's an explanation for all the different bets you can make, and they should also have an in-browser simulator you can practice with.

Basic idea though...

  • Bet the pass line (this puts you on with most of the people at the table).
  • Place odds behind your pass line bet after the number is established (the dealers are willing to explain this to you if you need help).
  • Bet on the 6 and 8 (most likely numbers to come up other than 7). Do this in increments of 6.
  • ???
  • PROFIT!

Gotta say, after going once a month this year (except for July)... that city is everything but routine. A lot of you who are "tired" of it might want to check out the downtown area for some chill nightlife. Going for 4 days starting Thurs and I already know I won't have time to do everything I want.

Just heard a funny story from someone through someone.

Apparently there are dudes on the side of the street passing out Escort Service cards. This set of cards were promoting a $99 special.

So some dudes call the number, the girls come to their room and immediately are charged $99.

So apparently you have to pay for every level passed with these girls.

Long story short, the 2 dudes got jerked off by the naked women and ended up paying close to $1000. I couldn't believe this when I heard it. :smh:

anybody know of any sites or can hook it up with a hotel for deals? any help is appreciated.

vegas.com has some good specials from time to time and so does priceline.

also if you have specific hotels in mind you can sign up for the e-mail lists. I get e-mails offering things like 30-40% off or buy 2 nights get 1 free etc.

But my best advice if your budget allows it is to do name your own price on priceline - 5 star north strip. If you win the bid you're guaranteed to get Venetian/Palazzo or Wynn/Encore. I usually save at least 30-40% off the listed prices when I use this method.

I'm actually going with my fiancé this weekend.
Got that bulk deal at Ballys, five nights for 200.
Doing three for the first trip, checking in Thurs and out on Sunday.
It's her bday Friday, any of you guys got any spots for dinner?
I'm looking for a fine-dining kinda vibe.
I also got Cirque tickets for pretty cheap, so we're doing that on Saturday.
Any of you guys got experience with that? Thoughts?
I kinda wanted to try and get into a pool at another hotel, but I have a feeling they got them places on lock.
And of course, I'm gonna need some spots to hit up in Vegas for shoes.
Help? Haha.

There's so many good restaurants in Vegas. What kind of food are you looking for? This forum could help - http://forums.jackcolton.com/forumdisplay.php?39-Las-Vegas-Restaurants-Buffets-and-Bars

Which Cirque? There's like 8 of them now

You could try going to one of the chill pool parties like Moorea at Mandalay or Azure at Palazzo. You might have to pay a little bit but your fiance should be able to get in free.

Go to wantickets.com for pre-passes to clubs and pool parties.

saturday i'll be at the pool at the flamingo...it was straight last time i went....cosmo pool is also a good time..

Man, just came back from Vegas. I stayed at the Monte Carlo and it's not a bad hotel. The pool area is pretty sick. It has a beach volleyball court that was nice.

Friday I got there around 2 and did my alcohol shopping and had dinner later that night. Went to XS later that night. I was pretty drunk that night and made out at the club {), but was too messed up to get the number or take her back.

Saturday went to Encore Beach Club, which is amazing. Vegas is basically about pool parties. That's the best place to meet people and get your contacts for the rest of the week. Next time I'm going on a Friday, aswell as Saturday and Sunday.

Later that night went to Marquee for the first time. From what I remember, it's a big place. I basically chilled with this one girl the whole night.

Overall trip it was a 8/10.

Spent way too much on cabs. :smh:
