Shaun Ward called A&M's 247 guys and told them Turene pulled his commit and has been wanting to for awhile now... He'll set up an official with A&M soon.
Fan delays surgery for BCS title game
Hardcore sports fans have been accused of having their priorities out of whack at times. But don't question their heart.
Especially 69-year-old Ron Pettichord of Gresham, Ore., who responded like any normal person when he found out his Oregon Ducks were playing their first national championship game on the same day as his scheduled open-heart surgery.
He postponed the surgery.
The Oregonian reported that the retired letter carrier put off by two days his Jan. 10 procedure to repair an enlarged aorta. Although the surgery is considered fairly low risk with a high rate of survival, it's still open-heart surgery.
“It’s like an aneurysm," he told the paper cheerfully. "It could burst.

Didn't know aTm was a destination now, guess the Mike Sherman bandwagon is getting heavy now.
I'm not. I'm just pointing out that USC wasn't tested offensively that season. Oregon experienced similar play this season, but that doesn't mean they're overrated.Originally Posted by ooIRON MANoo
Oregon's offense could be stopped though, by a decent defense with enough depth.Originally Posted by dr funk 13
I only question it because of his logic. Of course, I think every year these kinds of questions are going to be raised about a number of programs.Originally Posted by GUNNA GET IT
why because it questioned Oregon's Offense being dubbed Elite ?
there was alot of solid stuff in there
Who exactly did USC play in 2005 that had a great defense? That team has been labeled the greatest offense in college football history. I would definitely say that offense was elite. I'm not saying Oregon 2010 is USC 2005, but rather that you can't exactly say that Oregon's offense is overrated because they haven't played an "elite" defense. Who's to say they aren't just THAT much better than their competition? There's no way of knowing.
Cal laid out the ground work this year, Ohio State did it last year, rotate your linemen and have decent enough corners to play man coverage. Oregon's WR's are not exactly studs, but they do know how to find holes in zone coverage. Especially Maehl and the TE. A decent safety or LB'er that can spy Thomas goes a long way as well.
Please don't compare the 2005 USC team to the 2010 Oregon team...
Just came back with an update that Turene didn't decommit, but he's going to take visits. Some or all of Nebraska, Georgia, Tennessee, Tech and A&M...Originally Posted by ooIRON MANoo

Stephen Rivers holds the ball, and has *$%%%% mechanics just like his big brother lol.
23. Ty Detmer, QB, BYU (1990). Detmer earned acclaim for knocking off No. 1 Miami the second week of the season and put up indisputably gaudy passing numbers (65.6 percent completions for 4,869 yards and 38 touchdowns). But he also tossed 24 interceptions playing primarily inferior WAC foes. However, the rest of the field was fairly weak. Notre Dame's Raghib Ismail, the runner-up, ranked ninth nationally in all-purpose yards.
