I totally believe it! But as @ksteezy indicated previously, the majority of our healthcare workers are only using droplet infection protocols. That means all of our first and second line of defense will be out of commission very soon unless things change quickly.

We’ve been using airborne precautions for a while and just got our first confirmed case yesterday.

1st hand POV of getting infected with COVID-19...

Male, age 48, non-smoker, Korean, fit/athletic, gym 6times/wk...lives in Spain, got infected in Busan, SKorea.
Day 1 (When he began to feel ill) & Self Quarantined
-Started with sore throat w/ slight difficulty swallowing
-Slight dry cough
-Slight fatigue

Day 2
-Fatigue & Body aches
-Cough became more severe

Day 3
-All of above symptoms but much worse
-Extreme chest pains w/ difficulty breathing
-He said felt like a heavy slab of steel placed on his chest when breathing
-Went to ER

Day4
-Loss of consciousness due to lack of oxygen
-O2 and IV w/ drugs administered
-Extreme body chills which led to lack of sleep
-Consistent slight fever that probably began from Day 1

Day5
-Breathing got better but lungs felt like piercing needles with every breath
-Abdominal pain but still had an appetite.

Day6
-Recovered enough to be discharged

Patient said he returned back to normal after another week of rest.

This sounds terrifying.

From piercing needles in lungs to discharge in one day... WTF?! Maybe they just needed his bed and oxygen for someone more severe? Either way, it appears as though supplemental oxygen is vital for those in need and if we overwhelm the health system with too many critical patients at once, there will not be enough resources to help those in need.

For those who missed it, here's an interesting study regarding Vitamin D and the immune system:

One thing I’d be really curious to know is what did he do on day 1? Did he rest immediately or still go about his daily life?

coachella really is 2 weekends
cancelling coachella means theyll have to cancel stage coach too

so many ppl gon feel this loss
imagine all the ppl that fly in for these events that happen within like a month of each other

I'd rather people fell that loss than the loss of family members, friends and neighbors dying from this virus.
World aint gonna end if a coouple of music festivals and events are cancelled for one year.

my heart aches for those poor people :rolleyes

yeah man, imagine all those " influencers" having to deal with spirit airlines to get their money back

local businesses gon feel it tho
my friends mom works at terrenea Resort in Palos Verdes and they have to cut ppls hours due to so many cancelled reservations.

I mean it sucks, but would we rather tank the economy even further by spreading the virus and killing more?
