Day 9 of Covid:

Still cannot taste or smell. Now worried this may be a permanent thing for me. Last night was pretty rough. Started feeling VERY nauseous around 7pm. Woke up this morning to the same nausea. Had to use the bathroom several times. Cough is gone, fever is gone, light headaches.

Thanks for the daily updates

They're saying the loss of taste and smell is pretty common and comes back suddenly.

Get well

Sweden had a record 76 coronavirus deaths in past day (previous record was 59). Unlike much of Europe they have not gone on lockdown.

The difference between the numbers in Denmark (lockdown), Norway (lockdown) and the stupid approach taken in Sweden (no lockdown) is one of the best pieces of evidence of the efficiency of lockdowns and social distancing when it comes to combating this virus.

As a Dane, it's been a little unnerving looking across to Sweden, because we have chosen two different strategies.

I will never understand the argument against UBI from a person to person perspective. You going to tell me $1,200 a month doesn't help you at all? nothing?

Not talking about how it can be implemented, people cheating the system blah blah blah. Just a person to person basis, who the hell doesn't want extra money? If I picked up $1,200 every month off the floor that helps

Post to username ratio checks out

Other than checking your bank account, how y’all know if you getting the $1200 now or not? Did you get an email or something?

it is mostly people who are afraid of living new ways. same people who complain about socialism but are not reconsidering donating their stimulus check.

Yea it's bizarre to me. If every single person gets the same amount on strings attached, and they still have the freedom to earn whatever they can, how is it socialist.
The baseline is just slightly raised from $0 to a little over $20,000 a year. An extra 20,000 a year can be extra handy for times when someone gets laid off, and it's not enough to just sit back and stop working

No lié this would be dope as hell and would have the economy bumping and people much more happy and stress free...will never happen tho

It’s enough to be able to take a short amount of time off to find a new job you love. I’m all for it, but I’m not super educated when it comes to all aspects that this involves.

Can’t wait for TP, Lysol products and hand sanitizer to get back in stock and stay in stock

my local pizza shop/brewery is selling toilet paper.... (albeit it’s to help out the community but still)
