On a plus side the non translouscent strap on the 2014 version is the same shade as the neoprene. A more uniform look.

IMO looks like someone figured it would be easier and cheaper to make it one piece, or they forgot that detail either way it could be a deal breaker for me. Also the huarache sock liner looks way to low cut, will pass final judgement when I have them in hand so far it's not looking good.

After looking at past releases the GS versions all had the non trans strap. The pic on the previous page is def of a GS size. As far as I'm concerned they haven't changed anything.

Those are kids sizes though. Not saying the men's won't have the same issue, but they always cut corners on kids sizes.

I went hoh on saturday, nothing. Friend said ala moana got scream greens (gs) sunday. didnt even realize shipments came in sundays. Unless they were just slow to put em out.

I went on Saturday also. I spoke with One if the associates I'm really cool with and he showed me his manifest and there were no huaraches on there at all. I know they usually get shipments on tues and Thursday so I can't imagine why they would wait to put those out when Saturday is their busiest day. Not saying your boy is lying but I looked in kids and adults. They had those black and greens but not the scream greens. I also went to pearlridge and nothing there either... So idk imma try again later next week.
I also asked about the mid too huaraches and nothing for those either

I really hope the back strap is translucent. I must say, this release has been super strange. No real pics of the men's version have surfaced but yet they're already up on different sites for pre-order. I'm sure someone somewhere already has the men's version in their hands

The men's size screams wont have the translucent strap, I can tell because the two photos that they have across eastbay, footlocker, etc show the solid green strap and the second photo shoes the sole which is all black. The GS pair doesn't have an all black sole it has half and half so those photos on the mens pair are the actually photos of the shoe. Also the GS is also low cut so don't worry about the mens having that, it will have the same cut as any huarache and hopefully wicked good quality (anythings better than the platinum whites quality). I bet they made the strap solid colored to keep the integrity of the 99 release and the OG, kinda like how they do the jumpman instead of nike air for jordans, but you never know!

Eastbay is notorious for using sample pairs that have changes from the actual retail versions.

I remember the picture surfacing with the white splatter having us think they would release that way. Someone posted this pic pages back but it's difficult to tell if the strap is translucent or not.

Nobody knows yet there hasn't been any word about it, which is why I ordered a pair and paid the extra money overseas. I wouldn't mind 2 pairs anyway so if they show up in the US I'll just grab another pair then.
