We evacuated safely from our house here at the Jersey Shore. We are more inland so flooding was not an imminent danger, but our whole town is out of power. Shacking up at moms dukes for the night.
Just heard that a floating house crashed into the mataloking bridge, which is basically the way in and out of my section. Close call..... We shoulda left a lot sooner than we did.

I'm in astoria it's just heavy winds so far but we still have power and no flooding since we aren't near water at least I'm not. My boy by the airport sent me pics trees and power lines came down. There is no one on the streets for sure only cops patrolling.
