yeah dude get outta here with all that

people are feeling pretty bad as it is. don't need more negativity with all this happening

So a couple got killed by a tree last night on E.18th & Ditmas ave in Brooklyn for walking their dog and their bodies were discovered this morning on the street not too far from me. RIP to all the victims Sandy took.

some of you are really .... for lack of a better word "wussies"

yall complaining about no power, no this no that.. how you on Niketalk... or tweeting.. etc you can do that you good....

13-90 people dying is  the regular thing in places around the world...

humble up & shut the hell up bout what you dont have or what you want.. either help ppl out you know need help or sit yo *** at home & get ready for this shift coming

You and Future need to shut the **** up. Who the **** are you to cast judgment on people? People in here are keeping people updated about situations in neighborhoods around the city. Yeah, there are wars going on around the world but when **** hits home, we should sit on our *** and just mourn what's happening elsewhere? **** outta here.

First of all, I'm merely reflecting on the notion that water contamination seems SO foreign to us...Its a cause for recognizing perspective. Nothing more, nothing less.

RIP to those who were taken by Sandy and what it has caused.

To those still without power and water, I send my prayers and hopes that you guys all stay safe, especially the women/children and NT members.

I got friends in Jersey that I went to visit a couple years ago, tellin me that Atlantic City (where I stayed at when i went out there) was basically flooded out and destroyed. :\

Hope y'all make it through all of this in good shape, and hopefully the recovery process will be in effect soon.

Future I have nothing against you, I don't see you as a troll as much as others do.
But i think even though you are obviously a very intelligent guy, you need to learn to sometimes take a step back and realize its not the appropriate time or place to drop all that knowledge.

Right now the east coasters are just trying to have each others back, share stories, and update each other on whats going on.
I don't think they want to worry about the extra things you are addressing in the thread, even if they might be true.

Just my humble opinion, i think some of you just gotta let people vent sometimes...this is one of those times.
Put yourselves in their shoes, would you want anything more to worry about right now? I mean trees are literally falling into peoples living rooms...they got no where to go, streets are flooded...they cant afford to worry about things they cant control right now. We just gotta give them some positive support and advice.

We can probably get into the logistics of everything, and the dangers of the aftermath once people are safe and the storms have gone away.

There wasn't much damage to my area. Some flooding and the normal tree branches falling. (Lancaster Pa)

My storage somehow let a hug leak of water come in that soaked the bottom of each shoe box in my storage on the right side, 14 rows which cause them to crumble and all the shoes stacked on top to fall.

Some shoes are soaked and probably trashed. Cool grey 11, jordan carolina 20, lebron 7 pe jordan hero, lebron svsm 2, lebron 9 mvp pack, kd4 galaxy, kd 3 all star, lebron mtag and a few others.

I can't complain though, so many people in ny/nj have it a lot worse by losing their homes and all their belongings. Prayers are with you all that were affected

People who use this logic are so ignorant.

As if a hurricane going through Haiti and killing hundreds should make us feel any better of one coming through here and causing less damage....damage is damage, death is death...let people be concern and help each other out, quit trying so hard to be the Alpha in the crowd...I don't wish wrong upon anyone, but people like this need to be in a hospital with a terrible pneumonia so that someone can come around and tell them to man the **** up, there are people around the world dying every second from worst ****....maybe that'll put things into perspective.

If some of the boxes got wet with the shoes in them, you need to start worrying about mold.

Just found out someone my family knows out in the central MA area had a tree fall on their house... Damage seems pretty darn extension, not just NYC.

Just east of DC appeared to have the yellow bands (from the radar indicating heavy storms) almost all of yesterday. I hope those guys are okay.. To compare, NYC never reached above dark green on the radar.

My advice for people going out today or in the following days; please be careful. Look up and be aware of what could be hanging loose or breaking off. I just went out and there's a lot of stuff hanging from people's houses. It's also a little windy too. So just be careful and be aware of your surroundings.

From Hurricane Sandy, there's no weapons or technologies can stop mother nature but we'll be just fine if people are willing to take care and help out one another.
