Am I gonna need to download that software that itunes is telling me to download when I plug in my iphone? I'm still on 1.1.4 but is that gonna be the onethat I need for when I want to update?

i was kinda having an off day... i came into this thread... looked up pandora... and all i can say is wow....
i got a nas station and thievery corporation... well actually i have it playing in the background on my imac... and wow... i would have paid for this.

I have the first gen iphone that is unlocked with 2.0... to unlock it, just go back a couple pages to my post (it is mac only so far)
So thats for unlocking and jailbreaking an iphone that already has 2,0 installed right? yeah thats mac only right now, but what if you have an unlockedjailbroken first gen iphone and want 2.0?

do NOT upgrade to 2.0 yet. My iPhone was unlocked on 1.1.4, now it is unlocked on 2.0. It works perfectly, and I can purchase apps from the app store just fine(with or without wifi or on itunes).

i think he means that you should leave it at 1.1.4 when using pwnage to unlock/jailbreak to 2.0. you could upgrade your 1st gen to 2.0 though directly fromitunes and pwn it still.

I just restored my iPhone from scratch..removed all apps...feels good to have a fresh wipe word to baby bottoms

^if u restore it. does it save ur contacts and texts and all of that? what gets wiped out?

yea if you restore it saves all that but if you restore and start a new iphone everything gets erased
