Israel declares War - Destruction of Gaza / Growing conflict in Middle East

Cutting power, water, and essential human recourses for a country that’s already strapped is completely inhumane. This is a war where only the innocent civilians will suffer. Just painful to watch, and not one county stepping in to mediate.
The US is mediating the dysthanasia of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

It appears he mentions Palestine at the end of the tweet almost as an after thought. A lot of people are doing it in their diplomatic social media responses. Most of us in here can read between the lines. It really just perpetuates the double standard that exists and facilitates Americans blindly choosing a side.

A more thorough discussion needs to be had.

And this is in no way minimizing the attacks on Israel.
So you have no issue with his words, just the order of them?

Isreal is our ally and the only democracy in the middle east. No person with humanity could say that Palestinians haven't been ****ted on for decades. On the other hand, no person who has been paying attention can state that Palestinians want Israel to exist at all.

Go back to the maps of earlier agreements/accords, essentially 50/50

There will be no solution to this. Both Jews and Muslims, believe the land was given to them from god. Once both lived in the area, but over the thousands of years the Jews were forced out multiple times And moved around the globe.

World War 1 brought a new wrinkle. The Brits circulated “The Future of Palestine” memo, to gain Jew (money) support for its war with the Ottoman Empire Which the the Brits gave all the other countries back their land but the Palestine region. in 1917 The British announced the its support of a “national home for the Jewish people“ in Palestine with the Balfour Declaration. The Brits knew the Jews had money to fund their war and the Jews had a desire to return to “ZION”. The Brits allowed the Jews to set up shop, but never the Palestienians.

IMO World War 2 was the boiling point for Jewish Hatred and a greater desire for Jews return to ZIon. After World War 2 Jews were still the monority but they had new world money, tech, seasoned fighters and could easily handle the palestinians. The Brit’s were tired from WW2, threw up their hands and asked the UN to sort it all out.

The UN gave both sides land (considerably more to the Jews) and Jeruselem was to be international. Over the years Isreal would encourage its people to buy land in Palestinian areas and they they would subsidize it. Which incitizied Israelites obtaining Palestiain land.

Fast Forward now, US policy is to support Isreal. Isreal is the hot hand. If something pops off, you want the guy you can work with, not the one who is in bed with your potential adversary.

At the end of the day, this will never get settled. All we can do manage the chaos! This is religion at its finest.

I wouldn't say this, respectfully.
The religion part of it is way overblown by the (western) media as a way to antagonize and demonize Palestinians imo. It's easier to dehumanize people when you can mix them up with Isis, talibans and all Allahu Akbar-saying brown people westerners been taught to hate over the years, on some Huntington's "Clash of Civilizations" type ****.
Furthermore, centering it around religion is a major key for them to chastise anybody critiquing Zionism and israel colonial state nature and chalk it up to antisemitism.

You haven't been paying attention. You missed Bibi's attempt to take over the Israeli judiciary; you missed the rise of the anti-democratic Israeli far-right.

The last sentence is just wrong. Nobody who has been paying attention would conflate Hamas with all Palestinians, just like they would never assert or imply that all Israelis have supported a multi-state solution.

Yitzhak Rabin, Israeli PM who worked with Arafat to broker the Oslo Accords in 1993, was killed by a Jewish ultranationalist.

On the Palestinian side, the PLO officially renounced violence and recognized Israel after Oslo; however, Hamas launched terrorist attacks in response to the Accords.

Today, these hard-liners are now in power in Israel and in Gaza, thanks in no parts to the lack of fairness and objectivity periphery actors (the West, Arab nations) have exhibited in dealing with the issue.

No. Not just the order. We've seen statements from politicians, celebrities, athletes, etc in response to these attacks and they just reek of selective outrage in my opinion. The plight of Muslims is almost never met with the same anger and sympathy.

Can someone confirm whether Palestinians were originally Jewish but converted to Muslim and are racially/genetically the same as current Israelis (minus the mixing that happened because of their migration to other countries)

Unfortunately, no

Seeing stupid people state their reasons for supporting one side is amusing. Saw someone tweet this. I pointed put it’s ironic since israel is occupying Palestinian land and treat the people harshly but of course she’ll ignore anyone pointing out how dumb she is.

Both were originally in the area., but it the Palestinians outnumber the Jews. Both of thier religions can be traced back to the area. Jew as a race came about with the rise with Zionism.

so gaza is where the hamas mostly reside? and since the hamas attacked the festival, israel is cutting off power/supplies and bombing the **** out of gaza?
