Why middle eastern countries be asking people from here to go there?

Why middle eastern countries be asking people from here to go there?

When it comes to certain fields, we have the expertise they are looking for. Plus, Dubai for example, wants to become the Wall Street of the Middle East so they try to heavily recruit finance professionals. There are other fields as well such as architecture, engineering, accounting, and such.

in my case defense contracting companies hire veterans about to separate from the military to do the same job as a civilian........most of them give out $100k payouts for a 1 year contract

Oh ok makes sense. For the right amount of paper id go there for a year or so. But with my love of sneakers leaving the sneaker capital nyc would be easier said then done. Would be flying back and forth everytime a big release goes down

So I have an interview this week for a pretty menial job, and then an interview next week for a job I really want. How do I go about balancing the 2 if for instance, I immediately get an offer at job #1? Do I tell them I still have more interviews before I make a final decision? Do I ask for time to make a decision? Do I accept and then just use it as a backup? The logistics are a little tough.

A real company won't put a gun to your head with an exploding offer.

Go interview at both. What's even the likelihood of company #1 giving you an offer immediately?

understood ... I just don't see how can a person pass an opportunity to decent pay ... Usually free flat .... And a crazy adventure in the middle East for some kicks. My boy was in Bahrain and the joint was ridiculous fun ...

It wouldn't be a second thought for me. I'll be there for report day for that year of work and pay.

i wouldn't pass on the opportunity, would just be back and forth between nyc lol. Actually I might pass on it since I don't do airplanes. Also I don't do fun, sneakers is my fun, and occasionally the casino

looks like im gonna get let go from my job this friday. anyone know how colleting unemployment really works? i have never been in this type of situation before considering the fact that i always woked retail.

^ Every state is a little different (CA here) but last year the retail store I worked at for 7 years closed. The last day of employment was a Sunday and I filed for unemployment the next day. It took exactly 1 month for me to receive my first unemployment funds. I received my funds via direct deposit into a checkings account that the State of CA issues, in my case it was Wells Fargo. I was issued a debit card to use for this account and received funds bi-weekly if I'm not mistaken. I was on unemployment for about 3 months and it was a very humbling experience, within those three months I applied to over 100 jobs and only had 1 call back which I got hired for.

I've been getting calls from jobs I've applied to on indeed. Had a few phone interviews that went great.

This one was with Genen tech (whom I would love to work for) but it is long term contract position. They are a great company I've heard.

I got a call from the temp agency I went into and had an interview with this logistics company interview (last month) went good, they said they aren't hiring at the moment. I get a call Monday saying they want me to come in to see if I am interested in working there. I shadow a manager its basically getting the best shipping rates for various companies that need to ship pallets but not enough to fill a truck.

Tons of information and details to the job I was very overwhelmed. It seems like a somewhat laid back working environment. The people there didn't seem too happy to be there. I'm not sure if it's for me I certainly do not see myself working there long term.

I am getting unemployment, it is not enough. As I typed this I got an email about the Gen job, they're going in another direction

Just my luck

So I recently got offered two jobs and I'm having a hard time deciding which to take.

First job is a sales rep for a Herrs foods, $800 weekly salary + commission but it will be between 50-60hrs a week and I'd have to commute almost 2hrs each day

Second job is building and grounds position at town hall. It's a state job, good benefits, and great hours(7-3) and within walking distance of my place. Only con about it is the pay which starts at $15 an hr but yearly raises and opportunity to transfer to other jobs (highway dept)

If the pay was better for the town job it would be a no brainier but the schedule allows me to spend my time with my daughter and to get another if needed. I know with the sales rep job I can pull in about 1k a week but I'll have very little time to myself. I gotta figure this out by Monday smh

2nd job for sure. that 2hour commute will take a toll on you, your pockets and time with your daughter as well. 2nd job has great benefits also but can you renegotiate that hour pay?

^ I'm leaning towards the town job and during the interview I asked if the pay rate was negotiable and they said it wasn't but expect decent yearly raises. I also would get a raise after my 90 day probation period

I'd do the second job. First one 800 doesn't seen like much for 60 hours of work

found a side gig that brings home about 300 extra a month for about 8 hours a week.

double payments on the car, no car payment in no time, then can use that to play
