now this i completely agree with, his jumper needs work badly, but watching so many of their games every week sometimes he does make mid range jumpers like clockwork and other times he's brick city. just has to develop some consistency

I'm much more annoyed by his missed layups than jumpers because that was supposed to be his strength. i won't kill him because his jumpers don't lose games for us, Nick Young's do cuz he truly THINKS he can shoot

Wall's jumper needs A LOT of work...but he is shooting close to 50% from the floor for February.  Granted, that % is helped by him actally finishing at the rack, but I'm not mad at that.

More than his FG%, I'd like to see him cut down on the TOs.  He's only 21 and will get MUCH better.

i would prob take irving over wall as well but thats not to say wall is a bust. he plays with a bunch of knuckleheads. its sad though cause a lot of those knuckleheads have talent. wizards are one of my sleeper teams in 2k.

People are living in the moment right now. We're basically 2 and half months into Kyrie's career. I love Kyrie but I'm not sure he's shown THAT much in this little time to be considered flat out "better" than John or someone to build around besides Wall. It's a legit discussion and two will be linked forever because they were consecutive #1 picks. If Kyrie is to John what Deron is to CP3...what Westbrook is to Rose, etc...I'll live with that.
I will say that Kyrie has shown a tad bit more poise than Wall has even in year 2. Kyrie never seems flustered out there.

He's not a bust but he's an idiot, once he came out being more concerned about executing the dougie than his game......

He's also surrounded by bums but I don't think he'll be a star

second year in the league, too early to tell if he's a bust.. let him grow

Dwight, Shaq, LeBron, etc never danced right? Exaggerate more please.
If John Wall was on the Knicks, we would all be singing his praises. Don't underestimate the stupidity of McGee, Blatche, and Nick Young. The collective IQ on that team is -100

John Wall definitely has potential going forward to be a top 10 pg if he is not already there somewhere. A change in scenery might suit him more, but you can't expect someone to be CP3 or Dwill coming out of college.

Right...dude sounding like Colin Cowherd w/ that one.
.C. Sports Bog - Colin Cowherd rants on John Wall
Son came and did that damn dance for like one or 2 games and somehow developed a rep of "dancing all the time".

Silly.

I say this hesitantly, but was he overrated coming out of college? I'ma be honest, as big a headcase as he is, if your an NBA GM don't you think about taking Demarcus Cousins with the 1st pick if that draft is done over again (assuming the WIZ don't have the first pick because I'm pretty sure Cousins would end up murdering McGee).  He played on such loaded college squad that I think it covered up his shortcomings.  Plus following up Rose/Evans, previous ROY and Cal PG's I think everyone just assumed he would immediately be of the same ilk.
I still believe he'll eventually figure it out and become a top 3 PG at some point in his career.  Once again, the kid cares.  Winning matters to him and you see how much it kills him playing with those clowns in DC.

When he finished up his rookie contract, is he unrestricted? Everyone is saying he'll leave but I don't think that is the case.  This league is so heavy with PG's right now that I don't think there are going to be a ton of options for him in places that will be that much more appealing.

I'd love to them draft MKG this year.  That's another kid who just plays balls out and can help change the culture down there.  Although he is an even worse shooter than Wall is.

Ehh...there were rumblings about whether Wall was draft eligible in 09 and some "team officials" from various squads were on record saying it would have been between him and Blake for that top pick.
Wall was #1 overall whenever he decided to come out...

You're right about the comments on everyone thinking he's leaving once his rookie deal is up. The CBA isn't really structured for that to happen. He'll rake in more dough re-upping in DC than jumping ship anywhere else. Plus he'd be restricted anyway. As poorly run as the franchise has been historically...they aren't going to let him walk after 3 years. Not happening.

Worst case scenario is he does a Kevin Love type deal. Short term w/ a player option.

Lmao...I truly respect alot of u guys sports knowledge...but cmon fam...johnny wall a bust? Lol...seriously..once he gets his jumper its a wrap...dudes rookie numbers were nice..hes only gonna get better nt...this guy has potential to be in the drose, cp3 convo in a few years...

right now, his strength is getting to the bucket, and flat burning dudes down the court...drose, lebron came back with consistenT jumpers ...I suspect john wall will too...NTers live in the now tooooo much...let that boy grow....

Wall is definitely no bust. Kid's got the skill and athleticism to be a top flight PG

He needs to get away from the knucklehead teammates and be around some true PROFESSIONALS for a whole season or 2

I wouldn't call him a bust.
Thank you. Jimmy isn't bad, the !%#*$!$ cast of losers we have surrounding him here in DC are trash. I hope we get rid of Mcgee and a few other of these bums.
All we need to keep is Wall and Young.

I really thought this guy would at least make the Wizards not be a punchline anymore...Washington DC is so cursed Sports wise.

IMO Wall better do something by next season for sure or he can be in the "overrated" talks but not bust yet but he's headed there.

Not anymore, as the Rising Stars game has served as a proper barometer for gauging how good John Wall is.
SMH @ that turnover at the end of the game though. Let Monroe pick him clean

fixed. grunfeld needs to go. he's responsible for this mess and the one that turned Gil + Deshawn + Caron + Jamison + Haywood into Rashard Lewis and Trevor Booker.
