Jordan 1 Chicago - Reimagined aka Lost and Found - November 19, 2022

I wouldn’t care if a a rep, fake, remake, whatever, is made with the finest virgin calf leather, and had the EXACT shape of a pair as if it came directly off of MJs foot or was hand crafted by Peter Moore, Tinker Hatfield, or whoever was the designer depending on the pair we’re referring to. I’m not touching or even considering these types of pairs. To each their own, as it doesn’t cost or affect me at all what others decide to do, but it’s still a NO in my book, regardless of all the justifying and mental gymnastics so many want to use to excuse these pairs.

One factory producing these L&F are also making some for the replica market. I will bet my retirement that pairs are getting mixed up. When you have the same factory making both, the lines become blurred. While your stance is a noble one, it’s near impossible to be certain what you’ll get at this point, especially when you guys so eager to pay resellers.

Yeah I heard Quiggles got an uncle who works for Nike, and another uncle who works for Mr Hou

I kind of see it like this. Even if I'm not able to get them now, there's going to be a time when the 1s aren't hot anymore. At that time, I'll pick all of the pairs I want to. I don't have to have the shoe enough to buy some knock-off.

If its that specific scenario and it passes legit checks on SX, Goat, whatever (yes I know they arent bulletproof) and you do your own homework and legit check and everything checks out then shiiiiii everything good in the hood. Knowingly buying reps though, thats the problem. Otherwise hey.

Pretty much how I see it. It’s not really even about the shoes. We don’t hate fakes because they’re ugly or whatever. I mean how can we if it’s literally a replica. It’s more about the kind of person you gotta be to buy fakes on purpose. Just a lil too comfortable deceiving and misleading people about how much disposable income you have, or can afford to forgo..

No Jordan cost $1500, don’t kid yourself. You paying some loser for buying the shoe before you doesn’t mean it actually cost that much.

Hypothetically if you owned some Chicago 1s and due to unforeseen circumstances you needed to sell them for cash, would you take an offer of $160? Or would you want something closer to $1500?? Lol tf outta here

I don't even have a response to this nonsense. We are adding value to stuff that is practically worthless after we buy them. Still doesn't mean that's the cost, or worth. Paying $1500 for a retro that will more than likely retro again.... :smh:

Is it just me or does anyone else feel this kinda attitude is inherently disrespectful to the hobby.

More often than not it’s the calling card of the Corny C*nts Counterfeit Crew lets be honest

So LV jackets cost $10 to make but these $20 MIC sweat shop specials are something special ehh?

You buy what you like and what you can afford lol it’s pretty simple. I don’t buy LV jackets, if you do then more power to you

What, did you think Rolex put magic fairy dust inside their watches to make them “worth” $10,000+ ? My guy just now figuring things out congrats

Nike could theoretically stop bots if they wanted to, but that’s just way too expensive in terms of time and money. So, no, they won’t do it. Lol.

No... theyre usually hand made out of precious metals, thats what makes them expensive, not just the name. You need to do better when making comparisons.
Most don’t cost more than a few hundred to actually produce. But Rolex charges thousands. Nvm you still haven’t figured it out lol

Kinda related to the resale talk

I’ll believe it when I see it lol

Oh please lol. We're going on 10 years now since bots have been introduced to the field. Nike could've stopped this a long time ago if they truly wanted to, they clearly do not care. As long as they exceed profit margins, who cares what is and isn't fair right? :lol

Even if Tinker Hatfield hand crafted them…? This is too far. It’s almost getting to the “mindless sheep” point. You guys are saying you’d rather wear cardboard on your feet rather than fine Italian leather designed by the former guy who initially designed the shoe just because of “legitimacy”?
