Jordan Retro 1 High "Shattered Backboard"

This, and that peace of mind is getting more and more expensive as time goes on. Just last week people were saying they were gonna hold out until these dropped to $280

they have in some sizes.. 350 at consignment shops is basically 280-300 on the streets...

The main reason they started raising prices on shoes up is because the resell value people were selling it for.

Nike doesn't get 'resell' money from their kicks....they raised the prices because Chinese factory workers are pushing for union representation (biggest labor walkout in China happened at Nike factory in 2014), Nike realized crappy product was making for stagnant sales so it resources materials/developed new molds, and lastly Phil is leaving Nike and that golden parachute ain't gonna fund itself.

Resell prices are also a factor in price determination. Of course they don't get "resell" money but when a company sees that their product is being sold for 2-3x times MSRP in the resell market. That is a huge indicator that MSRP is too low.

I agree. It may not play as huge a roll in price increase but Nike/JB can easily see that their products are going for more and know they can push retail price a bit more and more
