I picked up a second pair but in size 11 last month thru ebay, normally a 10.5. I did a PP invoice deal for $330 shipped but all these recent talks about perfect fakes got me worried. I compared both pairs together and cant find a difference. Neither came with a receipt. Chit, now I'm wondering if I got 2 fakes haha

Not to sound like a dumb*** is the defect the wrinkle? If your going to wear them it's not too bad. It's not as bad as the register paper mark on icy soles. How did you pay?

Pretty sure the gripe is the leather (barely) sticking out past the stitching. That is being nit-picky as hell imo. I don't consider that a "defect". Remove what? A quarter of a centimeter so it's flush?

If it's glue, you should be able to gently scrape it off. If it's a scratch, you have to decide if you can live with it or want to paint it or some sort of cosmetic repair it.
But to me at least, it looks like something you can get off

Fakes dont have stamp code like that in the box for the aj 1.

There are probably real pairs that don't have that stamp. I've gotten retail pairs of Chi's with and without the stamp, so I wouldn't use that for a legit check.
