Jordan XI '72-10' Release Date: 12/12/15

If Breds were to be a GR..itd make more sense for JB to sell them for $220 for mens instead of $160-170, take FULL advantage of the demand *cough*cough*. I think they'd still sell out pretty fast

The blk/red 11s just came out. You have so many people who are still sitting on multiple DS pairs.

Why in the world would JB/Nike sell 1s for $220?  The highest retail price for 1s was $185 and that was for the Laser 1s and you seen they sat not only because of the colorway (which is not that bad) but the price.

difference between yesterday and WC4s is that anyone born in 70-90 will be going for it...add all the post 90s babies who see this as a must have....gonna be a hard release for most.

After 11s what I've seen is that 4s are the second most popular Jordan's. I hope the WC4s are easily available like the Maroon 6s

AJ 11s being synonymous with the Xmas holiday release is like a Mayweather fight coinciding with Cinco De Mayo weekend. In other words, overhyped.

To cover production costs for making more pairs..and to take FULL advantage of the demand of people that desire Remastered Bred 1s. Bred 1s are GRAILS...Laser 1s..not soo much. Breds and Royals WOULD sell out at $220. Everbody would be happy..like they are now with these 11s ( or not..but theyd still sell out )

Where would you guya rank the 72-10s among other 11 colorways ?

Lots of posts yesterday on this topic. Overall cool that people think highly of these. Personally I do as well.

Without going over the entire list again. 1) Concords, 2) Playoffs 3 and 4 interchange the 72-10s and Space Jams, they're nearly identical as a colorway. Materials are better on these 72-10s

Yes they would sell at $220 so will the 3s and 4s (if they right colorway), 1s are not worth $220 (technology wise, the resell market gives it that high value because of exclusivity).  That raising the price because of production cost is incorrect.

If based on looks alone:

1) Concord

2) DMP

2) Playoffs

3) 72-10s

4) Cool Grey

5) Space Jam

But 72-10s have the best quality/materials used among all, imo

Production costs actually go down with volume. Labor times generally decrease as employees get more familiar with how to construct a product. Material costs go down because volume equates to higher purchase power, set up time is amortized over higher volumes, and overheads decrease over more volume.

More volume has the direct opposite impact to what you're saying.

Something to think about but this depends on the product being manufactured so it varies per industry: When you increase production of a specific product, you use more raw material, you increase sourcing, sometimes you may even also increase the quality of materials used depending on the product, and labor costs/staffing also increase. When this happens, manufacturers generally increase pricing to cover overhead costs because output has gone up.

Typically though, increased demand is the driving force behind rising prices.
