From a flow standpoint, yea, he wasn't all there, but from a content perspective, that makes me wanna ask if you have listened to it recently.

But I know when artists reach that untouchable mountain top, they can sort of slack off a bit, cause they've made, they really have nothing to prove,
but to me that's never been the problem for Kanye and Jay-Z....lyrically. The problem for me has been the production, cause as great as they are
on the mic, they have had so many beats that are outright wack (a lot of BP3 & about half of BP2), or just strayed for the norm "hip hop" beats.
Sometimes both of them have went for real epic on beats and it just fell flat (which is why I can't see how people crown MBDTF as the greatest
thing since from water and oxygen).

1) Talking about how different the production is

2) How this isnt comparable to previous Dated material of theirs

Get the *#%*!# message everything they've done from BP3-MDBTF has been about moving beyond Hip Hop and making timeless music all while still keeping that raw lyrical ability.

The issue with most arent that the beats arent hot, its the fact that it doesnt have that traditional boom bap/ soul rap ala "Otis" (which is the reason its a bonus). Them being the caliber of artist they our im extremely proud that they decided to make this and pretty much take the chain of expectations off of hip -hop.

People call it bragging like hes doing it on some cash money steeze... Its clear Jay is living a different life and hes getting that across in his music. Not throwing it in your face hes saying its hear come join!! and stop worrying about sticking with the norm..

This is the jay i wanna hear from at this point. Hes at a plateau NOBODY from hip hop has reached, and something we've never saw before yet he makes it Very clear that the "hood" mentality is still strong in him

Kanye West... raw lyrical ability? You have got to be kidding me. This dude is one of the worst lyrical rappers forever. Son been relying on his production his entire career, that's why he ain't been *+%@ since College Dropout. And I don't give a %$%* how many records he sells. White people who don't know *+%@ about "raw lyrical ability" are the ones buying these albums.

There's rappers who haven't sold a million albums in their career (Cole, AZ) who have individual verses that show more "raw lyrical ability" than Kanye's entire career combined.

If you want to praise his "songs," that's fine. I'll disagree and move on.

But if you praise this man's lyrics, you're definitely ******ed.
You just told me "KANYE WEST" is one of the worse lyrical rappers ever

. FTR J.Cole Would probably make sure you never get a copy of cole world for saying something that stupid

1) It's "worst."

2) Kanye West's lyrics are TRASH.

Jay and Kanye were not worried about being lyrically disciplined on this album. They just wanted to make Luxury Hip Hop and they succeeded in doing that

On a side note I don't feel any chemistry between the two, a lot of randomness, no cohesion. That review was on point when it compared Royce/Em's chemistry as friendly and Ye/Jay's chemistry as if they have been co-workers for 10 years.

This is what I've been saying for years.

Dude gets the "Lifetime 'I Made College Dropout' " pass.

So you think Late Registration had Grade F lyrics huh? I haven't posted in this thread once until i saw that comment. You need to relax bro, Late Registration had and has some amazing music that speaks volumes.

Man, I was wondering what the hell "Watch the Throne" had to do with 8 watches, Partying at Prive, taking leisure trips to Paris, and blacks in Maybachs, but I get it now.

They are two (very) successful black men who are saying "you can be me too", so here's a little bit of motivation. Two kings on the proverbial throne, celebrating each other's success. No crab mentality.

The album is growing on me like hell. I need floor seats.

@ the copy I have has Welcome to the Jungle after Murder to Excellence. It's time I register my copy.

Cmon bro, im not even against most of the things you said recently. But what you are implying now is absurd. Im not a kanye stan, i dont think this album is the best thing since sliced bread...but to say late registrations lyrics are worse than a soulja boy album is just clown-like.
Grade F is Wacka Flocca...Soulja...dudes from your hood who are rappin on myspace give grade F... and you say that the lyrics from songs such as Roses, Hey Mama, Diamonds, etc. are in the same company as those dumbed down artists with garbage lyrics?

REALLY? Late Registrations lyrics are not a C...or even a D... which would be more of an opinion i could at least begin to understand. But no...you genuinely believe the lyrics FAIL completely as in the worst any rap lyrics could be...

wow. If you are trollin, you did a good job. thats all ill say.

The thing that pisses me off the most, is how they ruined a ridiculous song by switching up the beat. I'm talking about Who Gon Stop Me. That first beat is ridiculous, while the second beat is horrible. Hopefully someone just blends the first beat for the entire song.

Read all of MemphisBleekTheJediKnight's post and you'll see that he hates on any and everything not pertaining to Jay-Z, and when you disagree with or talk bad about anything that has to do with Jay he takes it as though it's an insult or something... TO HIMSELF!
And if that's the case, ninjahood is Jim Jones/Fat Joe's kin and half of damn NT is a member of the Bravehearts, right?
laugh.gif
I ain't even care if yall like another album or artist but what is stupid is when you got fools coming up in this thread calling out people for saying that they like a damn album. Yall act like it's a crime
laugh.gif

But to say Kanye West can't rhyme, though.

Do yall even LISTEN to what this dude says?

He's one of the, if not THE best doing it. His word play is ridiculous.
