People who were in his circle growing up all say Kanye is a sponge. He takes on the thoughts, persona, and energy of those around him. It makes sense to me as I'm very similar.
With that in mind, I think his views radically changed because he got around the wrong people and is soaking up their bull****.
That's random
Yeah I had to get roughly half of my right lung removed due to a condition called intralobary pulmonary sequester. I had an extra artery that branched off the top of my aorta and went into a bunch of tiny blood vessels in my right lung. None of that was supposed to exist, and the issue was that this extra artery was also roughly as thick as my aorta itself. The blood pressure difference between the huge artery and the tiny blood vessels in the lung caused it to rupture.
One day I randomly started coughing up giant blood clots in class and got the exciting news at the ER that I could've died at any time. I was lucky that the artery tear didn't increase too much, so the bleeding in my lungs actually wasn't all that bad.

I know we love to shoot down, "WhatAboutIsms" but IS there a legit argument against the frustration Black Folks feel when they see people not get the level of punishment for disrespecting them as they do when other groups are harmed/disrespected?
I know some of us have already expressed that if Black Folks took themselves more seriously we would magically get that level of pull/respect. (Interesting that comment went unchecked by many in here but that is another story)
Also he’s acting like the vast majority of Kanye’s fan base is black. I’d argue if we are going by pure numbers Kanye has more white fans than black ones.
Because simple half the blk community didn’t care. In fact they were defending the statement. Someone in another Yeezy thread is doing that right now tbh. It goes back to that you a slave cause u don’t have your own desire land business or something. We try to make it feel it doesn’t apply to us cause we wish to be rich like ye.
Jewish community outside of Ben Shapiro went full wtf on kayne and the brands.
Even MLK made remarks like if you don’t have white allies for your social cause you won’t get anywhere.
Jewish people already white and blk folks like yoooo you being kinda antisemitic and then the George Floyd comments. Well the perfect L.
Whataboutism is for fake intellectuals btw. It’s lazy it doesn’t require thought or critical analysis or anything it’s just saying well look over there.

Trump’s order says anti-Semitism is punishable under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act — a clause that deals only with race, ethnicity and nationality, not discrimination on the basis of religion.
"Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), 42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq., prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance. While Title VI does not cover discrimination based on religion, individuals who face discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin do not lose protection under Title VI for also being a member of a group that shares common religious practices. Discrimination against Jews may give rise to a Title VI violation when the discrimination is based on an individual’s race, color, or national origin."
When I tried to point out how cats within the community (that is black artists and personalities) were quick to rationalize Kanye's comments on slavery at the expense of historical truth for money, clout and to stay in his good graces, I was told that I was blaming the victim.
In the last few years, there have been plenty of examples of Black folks speaking up publicly to get racist folks fired from small, medium, and large companies. Your question would have merit if we were talking about the power of the police and the state, but that's not the case here.
Ye said Harriet Tubman didn't free enslaved people, and his own black employees didn't find that alarming enough to come out against his comments. His Black peers still made music and collaborated with him. The cosign from enough folks within the community made it possible for Kanye, a black man, to avoid an earlier backlash from those white-owned, mainstream companies.
The only celebrity I can think of that spoke up against Kanye's shenanigans was John Legend.
Now you want people to be upset at another community because they have established their own red line they consistently react against anytime it gets crossed, regardless of who crosses it, and I have to ask: why? Because you think they have power we don't have, as a collective?

I didn't say you said it. I asked why you're asking that question and ignoring all the instances where black folks have banded together to get someone fired.
