He got the #1 seed in the West. I don't really know what more he could have done to win it. That award was gonna go to the the best player on the team thatwon the West, unless the Celtics hit or surpassed 72-10. And people who are worrying about why it took so long for him to win it, don't kid yourselves.When he was winning championships, Shaq was the best player on the team, and in the last 3 seasons, he's been either the 7th seed or not even in theplayoffs. This award goes to winners. He deserves it and this is the first time he's ever deserved it, make no mistake about it. If Paul won that gameagainst the Lakers in the last week of the season and went on to win the 1st seed, he would have won it, but he didn't.
