Team owners need to be more stringent with who gets max contracts. I swear they hand them out to everyone remotely good and it ****s up the market.. max should only be reserved for the top 5-10 players. PG is definitely a Second tier player

You're talking crazy. Max is the going rate for all-nba players. We're not getting a home town discount with PG and honestly there are no guarantees that Leonard is going to come here next offseason. Look at Paul George, a year ago he was "hell bent" on coming to the Lakers and now it's 50/50. Same could go with Leonard. Let's say he goes to Philly or Boston and they go to the Finals, it'll be hard to walk agakn from thet, especially when the team you're currently signed to can offer you more money.

All hypothetical but if booker is one head of a two headed “star/superstar duo” and he gets paid next year. They clear the deck and sign another star they can have line up of:
Ball/booker/Jackson/_____ (even a Kevin love type of player)/Ayton

Of course this assumes Ayton is as good as projected and not the next thabeet. Lots of assumptions on other guys too but this is the right way to do it. Philly did it. Boston did it. Warriors did it

Also I wouldn't mind trading a ton of pieces for Kawhi if they take Deng too tbh, as long as we keep Ball or BI. I'd do BI, Hart (or maybe draft rights to our 1st round pick?), Kuz, Deng, 2 1sts to clinch a LeBron/PG/Kawhi big 3. If PG ain't coming, then I'd rather just resign Randle and just cry because we traded DLo for nothing.
