**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Pels offers probably like this:

Lakers: Ball bi Kuzma hart 4th pick

Knicks: RJ Barrett Frank Ntillakina
Celtics: Brown two late first rounders and semi
Clippers: gallo next years 1st rounders

******* imbeciles.

I don’t know bruh. I think Tatum would have to be in the mix for Boston to be a viable option. I also think LAC would have to give up more.

Yes they do “have to” but they won’t. Lakers need to realize this and stop bidding against themselves. No way in hell Boston gives up Tatum if kyrie leaves.

Lmaooo we're literally going to give up our whole team that we suffered 6 seasons for 2 guys in Bron and AD. There's no guarantee we're getting a 3rd guy to be a true contender. No *****ing and moaning about anybody else that are fleecing other teams. This is going to be the biggest haul for a disgruntled superstar maybe ever and the Pels are somehow the ones losing. Same **** with the CP trade a buncha BANs just hating.

Plus if other teams made offers why is it that ONLY our offer is being leaked?

1) no other offer was even comparable and it’d be embarrassing to leak and it would prove we are overpaying. Plus they value relationships with everyone but the lakers to go and leak trade talks. Literally every other trade happens in silence

2) they are using the lakers to establish a market baseline/drive up the price so other teams know what they have to beat. They are also trying to publicly shame the lakers to give into their demands.

Rob pelinka needs to channel his inner frank Lucas n tell these mutha ****az every day they waste is another asset hes taking out the package.

To be fair Anthony Davis and LeBron James are far better than the 6 players we suffered for.every GM in the league would rather have Anthony Davis and LeBron James over Kuzma, Ball, Hart, Ingram and the #4 pick.

Also, while Anthony Davis, LeBron and a third max player may or may not be a contender we know for sure that LeBron and the score isn't contending for anything.

Don't let your hatred for LeBron blind you

I'd much rather have Randle, BI, Kuz, Zo, Hart, and hell even Ratsull back than just an old Bron and AD. There's ZERO guarantee we get a 3rd max and as a matter of fact it's unlikely that any upper tier free agent will come. So in doing this we've shortened our title window to basically 2 years at best. They better get it done or we're going to be looking like boo boo the fool after all these young guys flourish elsewhere.

With no KD next year the same team with good health luck and actual complimentary pieces could absolutely contend. If Bron isn't actually washed.

yeah I have a feeling even if everything goes right we still gon end up sucking(pause) by default. injuries(god forbid) no chemistry, Bron being washed, etc.

im not tryna see Bron and AD get bounced out the first round for 3 years. **** gon be boring

As opposed to alternative of watching this young core when 35 games, get more lottery picks and then watch them walk when their contracts are up over the next 2 seasons?

Why the hell would they walk? All these moves have been because of Bron's expedited timeline.

Ingram is up for extension after next season, then after the 20-21 Kuzma, Ball and Hart are all up for extension. If they perform as well as you guys seem to think they will it's very unlikely we'll be able to afford them or we'll have to go deep in the luxury tax to keep them.

The ideal scenario obviously is to not overpay since you already know AD comin here regardless in 2020.

So if Lakers can find a way to keep Hart and either Kuz or B.I., then it gives them a nice balance between "home grown" talent that can be developed for the future and the so-called "2-year LeWindow."

Lakers have to make sure that when Lebron retires, someone is there to fill his absence competently. That player imho is Ingram.

And if we still have BI, AD, and whichever player we sign this summer, then losing Zo, Kuz, and #4 won't hurt so much.

We basically have a chance to have either Bron/AD/3rd max or depth/Ingram or Zo or Kuz

Or

Bron/AD/3rd max or depth

If I'm the GM I'm pushing as hard as I can for the first one

If they're great who cares about the luxury tax? That's never been a problem for us when the team is great. There's nothing preventing us from retaining everybody besides impatience.

I feel the same way I did about AD at the deadline. I don't care if they blow up the entire roster for him *IF* they know they're getting a 3rd max or they have a bunch of shooters lined up (not Rondo/Mcgee/Beasley/etc.)

If not I'd rather just ride it out with the youngsters.

Ehh.

During the last championship run, they were low balling Odom and Fish during contract negotiations. :lol I think they made trades around the fringes to lessen the tax too.
