I feel you but the problem is the path to improving the team come July isn't very clear. 2019 they knew something was gonna shake with AD and even if it didn't they had room for 2 more max deals. This offseason is going to be completely different with all the questions surrounding Bron's age and AD's health.

It starts with Russ 47mil expiring and at least one 1st. Probably not getting a haul with the way he's been playing this season. 2+ actual rotation players is a must.

Dame is what Bron and many of the fanbase want, and he is oviously a better fit than Rustle, but you're going to need other pieces as well or your looking at another year with 10 minimum contracts expected to play like actual rotation guys. That's if POR is willing to actually talk to them. Considering how desperate LAL will be trying to get off Russ, wherever he goes, they'll be taxin.

We should give Bron the benefit of the doubt and just assume he’ll play as he has been. AD is what we have to worry about.

I think managements plan was probably to stay completely put but these last two games have been so catastrophic that Jeanie has to do something since fans were booing.

Remember: Jeanie cares deeply about image and appearing competent vs actually being competent.

By not sending cash and DJ to another team: they wanted to save that money they would have sent. But now that fans are revolting and people weee booing she left the game and had an emergency meeting and realized the fan disgruntlement wasn’t worth the 7 mill she would lose releasing DJ.

Pretty much after 2020 he didn’t want to be the full time PG anymore. Obviously that’s why he pushed for Russ… with a capable guard it might even be time for him to play secondary playmaker more often.

Dude is getting older and losing a step, just like a lot of aging players he should be sliding down a position…from SF/PF to PF/C.
