**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

You run halfcourt offense thru lonzo and it's gonna be a similar learning curve as we've seen from Russ the past two seasons.

And as high as I am on Randle, he cannot play the 5. Neither can nance

Not permanently no. But a small ball lineup to expand leads or try to get an offense going. He could.

Whatever you gain on offense you lose on defense. Neither him or Nance can protect the rim at all. It's Luke's go to tank lineup at the moment

I honestly don't care, just as long as we get one of Fultz, Ball, or Jackson. We'll figure out the rest later.

@MarkG_Medina Per Elias Sports Bureau, D’Angelo Russell (21 years, 24 days old) is youngest Lakers player with at least 40 points in a regular season game

Ball or Fultz or bust for me
I'm not sold on Jackson
I'm not really either, but kid is a player, he should be a really good defender from day 1 even if his offensive game doesn't translate immediately.

For real **** is hilarious. Having Julius switch every pick and roll too. Son was getting lit up every time. **** worked to perfection.

People get too caught up in who plays what position in the backcourt. The reality is a Fultz/Dlo or Ball/Dlo backcourt would have us set for a long time. Both positions can shoot, run the offense, etc.

It's a good problem to have especially when you consider the lack of great under guards under the age of 25.

Oh yeah, Dlo youngest Laker to score 40 in a game. What a ******* accomplishment. In a franchise that had Magic, Worthy & Kobe, Dlo was the youngest to 40 :hat (something he can hang on his wall and hold on to when he gets traded 8o )

Yuuuuup. I'll take any of them.

Zubac
Randle
Ingram
Clarkson
DLo

Top 3
Houston pick
Nance

All under 24.

Top 3 could slide Clarkson to the bench, or come off the bench, whatevs, but that would be a great 8 man young core.

Moz/Deng off the bench next year, maybe they keep Swaggy for a year, add 4-5 more wins next year, and then 2019 becomes the year we potentially break out as everyone reaches 21-26 with 2-5 years under their belts, plus maybe add a Paul George.

I prefer that path, to trading 4-5 of our kids for 2 "stars" 8/8 times.

It really doesn't matter who they pick as long as they keep the pick. The top 3 are all set & all fill a need. Praying we keep the pick. Praying we don't trade the pick if we do get it.

20-50. 12 games left. Right now PHX has 22 wins so we can only afford 1-11 record or maybe 2-10 if PHX wins a game.

Would like PHX to get to 25 wins to make me feel safe. Doubt it tho. They're committed to the tank.

In a regular season game. Magic did it in the '80 finals as a rookie

True. Cant wait to see Dlo in a playoff setting. He usually always shows out on national TV games. Hollywood Russell forreal

He had a great game, I was just clarifying that he's not the youngest Laker to get 40 in a game

And who cares about Fisher? Dlo is way better offensively than a career role player

Nwaba needs to get signed for the rest of the season I believe his 2nd 10 day contract is up or they can bring up Vander Blue and see what he can do.
