**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Fultz has some Kyrie in him in this way.

Not the most explosive, but very good at getting to his spot, using his body to create space and angling.

I can kinda see that as far as craftiness. Kyrie has really quick feet and hands tho. The Brandon Roy comparisons are pretty apt imo, athletically. It's hard for me to throw out the word 'elite' when talking athletic pgs tho, especially ones with the size of 2 guards. I think that throws people off when they see a guy labeled as a PG who can dunk with ease and they kinda forget that they're 6'5+ ie mudiay.

I know it's a 9 game stretch so small sample size and all that.

But the only players to average equal to or greater than 23.8 ppl, 5.2 apg & 41.6 3pt% for a full season are:

Curry (2015-2016 & 2013-2014 seasons)
Bird (85-86 & 84-85 seasons)
MJ (94-95 season) (the season where he returned and only played 17 games)

Only 3 of the greatest NBA players in history.

And Dlo just turned 21 a month ago :{
The Future is real bright :smokin

I'm wondering if the list is even that long of guys doing it for 9+ games. This kinda stuff isn't really normal

Sounds like a young Deron Williams

This is actually not a bad comparison either. Prime d Will's crossover tho >>>

I still think DLo is more efficient as the number 2 guy on the team instead of being the primary ball handler

BI is getting more consistent as of late, I like it, he's gonna be great by year 3

I really like our team going forward
I have a bad feeling that Randle or Nance will get traded within 2 years though
I'd trade nance. The possibility of Randle improving his play making even more makes me want him to stay
Same. However, I would like Randle to improve his shot selection and pick n roll defense.

So what happens to JC if it's Dlo + top 3 pick in the backcourt?

Maybe JC is only starting so we can showcase him as a starter and then trade him in the summer

Bring him off the bench. Let him be the new Lou. He's shown he can come off the bench and be productive, and for argument's sake, let's say he comes in with Moz, Deng, and Nance. That let's him play with the ball as those guys don't "need it" and they can play off him. Then you have the ability to keep one starter on the court, and it could vary from Ball/Fult or DLo, or Ingram, and the lineups work all the way thru.

Or hell, if they keep Nick another year, he and Clarkson could take all the shots off the bench.

you notice not one of his four harshest critics have been around? yet front in center when hes having a bad game?

way to shut a ***** up

What are you talkin about? Both mamba and I posted great games after the game.

And neither one of us hates him. We just give fair criticism for all players.

Go back to last year in this thread and see who was defending Russell the hardest against idiots who were calling him a bust. I was front and center of that and I'll always have our players backs. I just don't like people stannin and not even addressing his flaws as if he's an elite champion already. These players have one too many nights of not showing heart and engaging and it's not a hater mentality to point it out.

I have been in he here hoping for fun to flourish since the minute he was drafted and I can go back and find 100 quotes if needed

[emoji]128514[/emoji] I already see the flip.

Those stans you to refer to were always ready to discuss his criticism. We always discussed that he needs to improve his ability to draw free throws, his free throw percentage, his three point shot footwork, his ability to drive/finish, defensive effort, etc.

Nobody ever said he was a finished product. Personally I saw the star potential since OSU so I've been riding for him extra hard. I knew what he could become. It was just annoying listening/reading to all the bad takes. Made me feel like I needed to defend him.

"Byron says he doesn't have heart trade him."
"He'll never have mamba mentality he can't be a laker."
"Oh he's too slow and doesn't work hard enough. We need to get rid of him."

These aren't legitimate criticisms. These are dumb *** takes that people were using to justify why they didn't like Dlo.

I've been reading **** like that for months and it's annoying as ****. If you wanna criticize his game, we can do that. But people were going way too extreme. Like for example, constantly hyping Devin Booker as a future superstar and ******** on dlo when they had virtually the same numbers was comedy and happened ALOT.

This **** isn't gunna slide for me. We all knew who was on what side. It's gunna be funny to ya boy when all the detractors are copping his jersey :smokin

Sort of interesting, his next start will be his 100th.

Year 2, his shot attempts per game are up, his 3 point % is up, his FT % is up, eFG% is up, PER is up, his TO% is down, TS% is up, his rebounds are up, assists up, steals and blocks up, his points are up, and he's playing about half a minute less.

Improvement, all the way across the board. In a smidge less time than he played last year.

Per 36 of 20, 4.5, 6 and 2 steals age 20-21.

We want to get rid of this player. :lol

:lol

Alright, alright guys, come on now. Both you been here well over a decade, c'mon now, no need to go down that road.

We have some differing views on young DLo, likely always will, but no need to go at each other for it. Save that venom for the newbs that pull thru squawkin. :lol

Come on, reps for both, let us relax. woo sah my brothers. Woo sah.

Nah bruh been throwing shots at me for a while. I mean I don't really give a ****, it's just ******* sports. I don't give a **** what you think or thought about a player. It doesn't matter.

But if you got something to say to me then say it with your chest. Don't throw weak *** shots at me :lol

What is LTB wrong about? What are you so right about that changed after 1 game? C'mon man you looking extra Whipish right now.

JC is out of LA come june regardless of who the Lakers pick, or if they even keep the pick, I think.

I didn't say he was wrong on ****. All I addressed were some of the things I've been reading about Dlo for the last year.

But I only said that after he said this

Shut your corny *** up.
Biggest hypocrite on NT.

Not gunna let that **** slide.

If you got some feelings toward me built up and this is how you feel... ok then. Let me know.

I didn't even say his name in my OG post but I obviously ruffled some feathers.
