This is the only trade adding someone of value where Pelinka has any kind of real leverage in negotiations since both Zach and Vuc are actively being shopped.



If he doesn’t go all out to make this trade happen, and Add Vucevic to the package, he will have officially messed up Bron and AD’s window in Los Angeles to get multiple championships, which should be the expectation when you have two of the top 8 best players on your roster.

Neither DLo nor Rui can consistently carry the scoring load when it’s time for Bron to rest like Lavine can night in night out he is a guaranteed 23-27 ppg. ZL is a proven all-star scorer who was on the 2020 Olympic team that won the gold.

More like 6-for-2.

There is definitely a pathway to create a better and more competitive roster when you free up all that roster space

This is about the best option to improve the roster without giving up a FRP and still allow them to sign a 3&D wing with the TPMLE

DFS, Cam, Grant - None of these guys are worth 1 let alone 2 FRP’s. Why not negotiate the Bulls to give a FRP for taking Lavine.

Another way to structure a three-team blockbuster that would address two of the Lakers’ biggest weaknesses while freeing up the money and the roster space to sign for the vet minimum, a veteran PG who could be a floor general on that 2nd unit a la Rondo (Lowry? Spence?) and a 3&D wing using the TPMLE (Lonnie? Hayward? Covington? Trent Jr?)

We keep the protection on the 2027 pick, and instead we give Ainge a top 5 protected 2029 FRP. Will Cooper Flagg be eligible for the 2027 draft, who knows.
