**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

You reached rock bottom. Dwight is cooked.
He looked done when the Lakers brought him back during the 21-22 season. For example, here’s an end of the season review from SSR:

Dwight overall seems like a likable guy, and he was a part of one of the best Lakers team in recent memory BUT his time as a professional NBA player is over.

It's awesome that you guys think logic & reason is going to shut down buddy's take.
"He's a champion big! He'll help! JJ wants bigs! Period!"
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"Logic and reason" don't apply to the Lakers and their fans when it comes to acquiring bigs because beggars can't be choosers.

If Dwight is available and if a roster spot is available, you give Dwight a shot because even a "washed" Dwight is tougher and stronger than any other center on the roster not named AD. Feel free to logically reason that out in your own heads. Lol

Beggars can't be choosers. Repeat it 10x

He wasn't an every night backup, but fine as an emergency third stringer. But that was two and a half years ago at this point.
Fair.

But I’m gonna start asking for people to be tested for CTE if they truly believe that Dwight STARTING next to AD in the 2024-25 NBA season is a good idea 😂

Lebron probably during this last timeout - “Three shots in 13 minutes, y’all just got me out here doing cardio”

Or something like that…

Don’t know if Dalton will be playing much during the regular season. Yes he can shoot, but the more I see him against NBA size and speed he looks kinda lost. When Vando and even Wood come back he’s on the outside looking in.

Dalton definitely getting clock this year off his athleticism and shooting alone. He should be playing majority of his mins against benches. He'll be fine. Year 2 JHS is who everyone should be worried about. Had high hopes but might need to cut bait.

Serious question.

If you say he’s athletic, then how is he using this athleticism to help the team?

Vando may or may not start when the returns… of course if that happens then we have to assume Rui comes off the bench, and he then becomes the 6th man. Max and Gabe are still in the rotation… that’s 9 guys right there. Almost forgot, Jaxson will still get his playing time as well, so that’s 10. C Wood will probably get an opportunity to play also.

Lakers might be fighting for a play in spot… you think they can afford to have a rookie playing regularly in the rotation? Win now OR develop, can’t do both.
