I've been trying to mess around on the trade machine and find an AD trade.. not because I want him gone, but just because I was mostly bored at work last week.

Long story short, I couldn't really find a trade that made sense... a fringe contender that has the assets that the Lakers would want in return.

I'm all ears though

I've typed it in here a bunch of times but all you ever remember is trade AD or Bron. (Which is only the short term view, not the big(ger) piece.

Sell the team. No more #Family BS. DEEP pockets owner who doesn't give AF about a luxury tax.

You are theeeeeeeee biggest brand in the sport. Use it. **** a luxury tax. Golden State spent hella taxes runnin up titles. They weren't even a Top 10 brand name when that started happening. But they spent well beyond the cap.

Deep pocket owner fires the **** out of Kobe's agent. Get a real GM/President type in place.

Let that GM get his coach. If it's JJ, great. If it's not, let him get his guy.

Best thing about dealing with the Rockets would be the choices to choose from.

I think they'll make Amen Thompson and ideally Alpi Sengun-Tari Eason untouchable. I'm a Jabari Smith Jr fan but he seems like a high level role player. I'm still intrigued by Cam Whitmore. It's too early to make a judgement call on Reed Sheppard. No thank you to Jalen Green though. They also have most of their picks and more importantly, two future Suns and one future Mavs pick.

I hear you… the Rockets def should want to keep all those guys otherwise they’re not the same team and then what’s the point of an AD trade.

Of course it makes it difficult to match salaries so we’re talking guys like Adams, Jeff Green, Brooks, etc (off the top of my head I can’t think of anyone else)

I’m not really a Whitmore fan, Reed is okay (but we already have a better version of him)… pass on Green as well. Looking at the options I think I’d rather just keep AD

If I’m OKC and had the chance to pair Shai with a guy like AD you gotta do it. The other parts of the deal I just threw in to make the money work. But basically Shai/Dort/J Dubb/AD/Harteinstein would be as good as any starting 5 in the league. Lakers obviously get a couple cracks at a loaded draft and a good young player in Chet who I think could play next to Bron in short term and the next guy down the road.

And they could select Cooper Flag with one of the top picks…
