**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Don’t really care if Buss continues to own the team or sell tomorrow. I think at the end of the day she’ll spend when it times to spend and will make unpopular financial decisions when they need to be made (just like every other owner).

When this current core is gone and it’s time to rebuild then I think the Lakers will generally draft well (although the draft itself is a crapshoot)… eventually they’ll be bad enough to get a top pick and ultimately select the next franchise player, or someone good enough that the next franchise player will want to come and play with that person.

Most of the really good young players will be locked up by their current teams for the foreseeable future… lol I guess maybe the Lakers might have a crack at Wemby when he finally reaches unrestricted free agency in 2031 lol.

I’m a chelsea fan too and he’s running circles around all the other teams.

Compare our rebuild to United. We even hit a homer with the manager. It’s as simple as bad ownership for the lakers.

The way Boehly signed so many players and made a super deep stacked team has been genius with all the games the players will play this season between EPL, cups and national team

Don’t know much about soccer, is that even a fair comparison?

Ballmer took over the Clippers…besides the new arena they’ve increased their grand total of rings since the ABA merger from zero to um, zero. So IDC about anything else over there that he’s doing.

Sterling might’ve been one of the worst owners ever. BUT Blake G fell into his lap (pause) and the rest was history. All this owner talk is overrated… just like coaching. You win with dudes, so the rebuild will go as it goes until the Lakers find their next star.

Chelsea hasn’t won anything as of late tho
Comparing Chelsea to the dumpster fire that has been Man U isn’t a good argument

The thing that's been most disappointing is Rob Pelinka's inability to build a consistently winning roster and coaching staff filled with legitimate championship pieces for the majority of Bron and AD's tenure in Los Angeles.

Jerry West, Popovich, Riley, Jackson, heck even Kupchak or Bob Myers would've been able to manufacture a minimum of 2 titles with those two players I can guarantee you that

Shoulda kept DS. This FO aint patient. Letting go of players way too damn soon smh

Get ready for yet another L tomorrow night because AD by himself playing center 100% of the time will NEVER beat Jackson Jr, Aldama, and the Big Zach Attack

In other news…..

🤣

I know this isn’t popular opinion around here but from a tanking perspective (trading starting pg for one out for the season) this was a good move for BK

Max went from being told he was going to be a big part of the rotation this season to racking up DNP's and backing up Cam Reddish (again).

But it is good to see him contributing again as of late though.
